Uh anywho..
I'm looking for someone who knows how to code in the Novelty program!
(Novelty or Ren'Py? I just happened to stumble upon Novelty before Ren'Py and I just like Novelty better.. cause it's less scary.)
And so, well I actually do have /some/ experience in html coding and what not.. It's less scary when you have someone to share your pain tooo... okay I better stop rambling and actually describe the visual novel. Ahem.. *cough* classic otome *cough*
Title: E.U.N.O.I.A
Story: Girl moved to an island to attend a college called Ahava Academy where special students are recruited. Her uncle is the headmaster. Living in a luxurious mansion and having to comply with seemingly endless amounts of rules, (not to mention snobby servants and uncle's 6 favorite students - will describe later), she was close to insanity. She decided to earn her way to freedom by moving out. Right in time, there's a poster hiring a personal 'housemaid' to do general room service and cooking in a studio block. In return, she gets accommodation and paid generously - enough to convince her uncle that she's faring very well! (to get rid of his spying eyes). Excitedly, and impulsively, she applies, oblivious to the 'terms and conditions' written below.. to be a call girl.
Wait, that's not it. She is to 'service' the very 6 guys she was trying to get rid of: E.U.N.O.I.A, the initials of 6 very smart and popular students of Ahava Academy, rumored to be hired by the headmaster in some intelligence service. And one of their duties is to make sure MC is living the life of a rich heiress under her uncle's command. Now that she needs money and freedom, it seems like the only way to keep E.U.N.O.I.A from telling her uncle that she is working as a 'call girl'/maid is to stay and do their bidding.
There's more! But uh, I'll leave it at that. The general setting is mythical and magical in a sense. I don't want a dumb, soft MC so MC is a girl with attitude and values. But that doesn't stop her from being googly eyes at pretty boys! Also pssst.. the 6 boys are avatars of angels. And of course the story involves bitchy girls and what not. I was trying to think of a quest to go with the story but this is all still quite new.
Game Structure: I've done some of the music BGM and the general structure of the visual novel. I was thinking of putting mini-games (nothing too complex), stats and avatar for the game too. The basic structure is similar to Star Project or My Candy Love so episodes that gets unlocked once you hit the required stats. But you also get to do lots of other things to unlock episodes (mini games etc). You get to customize MC's avatar (clothing have stats).
Looking for: someone familiar with Novelty & willing to work with me. If you're an artist as well, that's awesome! Otherwise, I planned to do the graphics after uni semester ends ;A; And it'd be nice to work out the storyline with someone too!
As you've read, this is really non-profit. I plan for this to be free for everyone. It's just a little project/fantasy of mine :3
