I'm looking to join up with some people on a project. I'm new to this, but I love storytelling and think this is a really unique medium that I'd love to work with. As a heads up I might tend to prefer projects that aren't the traditional anime-inspired romance types. But I'm open-minded and the most important thing to me right now is just getting some experience under my belt. Also I admittedly don't have as many examples to show as I would like to. Sorry about that but I guess you have to start somewhere.
Writing:
This is probably the field I have the most experience in. I mainly have experience with dialogue, journalistic writing, and first-person-past tense fiction. The first example here is a short story, and the second one is an excerpt from an unfinished story (the first 1/4 or 1/3 of it). Both are horror stories that are sort of intended to be written in the style of old Weird Fiction. As a warning, the first one has violence and they both have slight racism (but that was an intentional imitation of older horror stories).
Art:
I know how to use Photoshop and Illustrator, but to be honest it's not really my strong suit. Here are some examples from projects of mine that have fallen through
Design:
I don't have much experience with this, and I admittedly don't even know how useful this would be for Ren'Py projects, but I thought I'd include this. I enjoy intricately planning things out and I think it might potentially be of some use for certain projects.

I could use a little help in the art department. I know you say you're not that good with photobucket but I saw your screen and it look good. I was wondering if you'd like to help make a screen for me or something. Also, if you wanted to, I might need a writers help for my vn. But one that note, is this free?

I have nothing to offer as my own project is still far from requiring other team members. I just wanted to say that I really like your writing style.
I'm a little curious how you are with first person present tense. As far as I can tell, that is a relatively popular style in VNs.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I don't have much experience with first person present tense, and honestly it always kind of turns me off when I read a VN written in that style. Something about it just seems unnatural. But having said that, I can see where it would be necessary for many stories and I wouldn't be opposed to trying it.

The lead writer of my project resigned, and I had to put my project (which was scheduled to be released 3 months ago) on hold. I was wondering if you maybe want to take over the place...
