Love in Space looking for Lead Programmer [Filled]

Love in Space is seeking a enthusiastic and motivated lead programmer.

We are looking for someone who knows the following:
-Basic renpy syntax
-Screen language
-ATL
-Pyton

Your task will be to refine and further develop the Sunrider battle engine. Preference will be given if you are a fan of turn based strategy RPGs.

I expect about a 10 hour commitment per week commitment for about a year, but this is highly dependent on your skills. Preferably, you will need to be available on a consultation basis for roughly five years though, in case any problems arise later in development. We aim to produce professional and genre defining works in the medium, and will welcome someone who seeks to create high caliber work.

This is an UNPAID position. The game will be released for free, in the creative commons. You are welcome to leave at your pleasure with no hard feelings any time during production.

Your project intrigues me, but the details on this "battle system" are sparse. Can you elaborate? I don't have many hours to spare every week, but I am proficient in python.

I have also have a design doc with all of the gritty details, but I haven't released that to the general public. This position is actually tentatively filled. I'll keep you in mind if that changes though. Thanks for your offer. :D

Hi Samu-kun,

I would possibly like to offer my skills for the position,

I have several years experience in Java and C++ programming
I am an intermediate C, c# and python programmer, though learning more by the day.
I have not previously worked with Ren'py but I am starting to pick it up.
I have been working on a few projects of my own previously, mainly text based RPG games due to not having anyone to work on the graphics.

Id like to help on the project as it seems like a fun concept and also I love the fact you are making it FTP, though about that, will it be open source?

If you think i could be of value to this project feel free to message me any time

Hello, I have experience with Python, Pygame, and Renpy, having done all three fairly extensively. For Renpy I can do UI, overlay screens, and ATL to list a few. I have no official examples but if you're interested i could send you a copy of a failed proof of concept for a puzzle game I'd been working on for a while, before deciding that the proof was a failure (the puzzle was either too hard or too easy). If you'd want an example of ATL let me know and I can contact the people I made a menu for and ask about showing you a sample. :)
