Rates depend on the type of job and the time required to do it. There's no set price. It's negotiated on a per job basis.

Well could you give us an estimate per job type? I know some people charge like 1 cent per word, others charge $5 per 10k for writing. I saw someone who charged $20 per logo design, and $15 per textbox GUI design, as well as a programmer who charged a package for $20.

So knowing some sort of price range would really help people out, I think!

Thanks,
Sakura

You have a point. I just don't like talking exact rates since it makes negotiation a little trickier.

For programming I charge by time and for writing it's per word. Programming is $20-$30 per hour and Writing is 2¢ to 5¢ per word.

I'll edit them into the opening post.

If you have any samples of your writing (that you can post publicly) would be cool too :)

Apologies for not getting back to you until now. Unfortunately my VN writing so far is all under NDA (Excluding some out of context quotes I've been posting on my twitter feed) but I do have some published works in the Age Past rulebook. That's third person rather than the traditional first person for visual novels but I'm fairly happy with it.

I shall try to produce some sample works for later appraisal.
