Seeking Programmer/Creative Partner

#1 Post by StrawberryBlitz » Sun Dec 26, 2010 12:32 am

Hey guys! I'm new to the whole visual novel concept, but I've been writing and drawing for quite some time. I had planned a pretty straightforward romance game for girls, but I've since discovered that I'm useless at coding and definately need some help. What I need is somebody who can help me turn my story and art into an actual game, but somebody who's also interested in helping with the writing and/or artwork would be welcome. :)

To help you get things going, I suggest telling us how much you've done on the story. Most people will want to know if you have anything substantial and solid before they sign up :) (For example, do you have a draft of a script typed up, or do you just have some plotlines in your head? Or something in between?)

Also I'd say that you should say what did you started using for coding. It's not the same using Ren'py than programing in java. I can't help you, I'm busy enough with my own game (and I need a goddamn translator from spanish to english who is willing to translate a lot of text just for a first chapter).

I wouldn't mind helping - I'm a newbie too, but always looking for experience and practice, so this sounds perfect.
I don't really mind committing myself to a long project and a short one as also good.
send me a pm with some details and we can talk there, with you perhaps sending me something (and me turning it into VN form as a sort of business interview :P)

I would also be willing to look at your story and see how I can help.
