Guilty Feeling
So I have all of these arcs for my characters of Lost Dreams. The only problem is, one of the most important people to the MC has no arc ;=; When I wrote the Arcs out I realized that his arc was the same as another arc except in the end he'd end up with the MC instead of alone. So I don't know what to do. I'd feel terrible if he didn't get his chance with the MC because he was the original pairing...so what should I do about him?

Re: Guilty Feeling
Well, I guess it's better to have no arc than to have one that's shoe-horned in and doesn't make sense in the broader context of the story. Oh well, things change from the beginning of the project to the end, I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Re: Guilty Feeling
If I don't use him it'll make the MC look bad x.x
Re: Guilty Feeling
I've removed plenty of characters from stories that I couldn't tie in to my satisfaction, or merged characters together because I liked elements from both but only needed one. If this guy is super important than what about the other character that has the similar arc? Is there a way you can change up the other character's arc, merge the characters together or remove the other character altogether that would allow you to use the character you want? That's about the only idea I have.

Re: Guilty Feeling
I can't do that. Both of them are too important and the two characters are a couple in other arcs which effects the MC xp But if I don't do an arc it'd be like I shafted him and the peopel who are playing through.

I don't understand what the problem is. Just think of something else to write for him. It's not like your only choices were he either had that one arc or no arc.

Re: Guilty Feeling
I guess you are right... just I don't know what to do with him in that respect. All I can think of are cliche scenarios XD

Part of the reason people play dating sims is because of cliche scenarios. You just gotta roll with the punches.

Re: Guilty Feeling
Just make his ending I guess? More ending is always good i think ^^ (as long as you have the man power off course)
If you're still not confident with his story, maybe wait a bit more until you can come up with a better one?
