Well, I think I agree with everything in this last post ^^. But again, don't make it in a newbie fest and turn a useable script syntax into something horrible for advanced coders ;). Just as much as one can use

"I say something"

as well as

narrator("I say something")

it would be nice to keep python-like things the same way?

not to drag up an old topic but as a newly converted blade engine user to now a ren'py user the comparison is pretty fresh in my head.

my opinion as someone who never scripted anything.

blade<--faster learning curve, less options, more tags, easier to follow tutorials, appearance varies but overall less nice imo

ren'py<--slower learning curve, more options, less tags, harder to follow tutorial, appearance varies but overall looks nicer imo

overall, progress scripting is noticeably faster in ren'py than blade once i got my basic work system figured out. long live ren'py!! :D :D :D

sorry i don't know how to use the correct terminology. i was thinking tags as in anything extra from the actual written text that is displayed in the novel.
whether that be symbols, values, commands ect...
