Anime anatomy: Man nipples in VN sprites and other art?

I'd treat them like any other body part or detail, and include them based on on how detailed the design is. The typical anime style art would probably warrant them, but a highly stylized or super deformed character with nipples might end up looking just as strange as a more realistic designed character who lacks them.

I agree with the above. Lack of them should be reserved for drawings with an intentional lack of detail, or a lot of intentional stylization (beyond generic "anime"). Otherwise it's just weird.

For some reason, watching Tiger&Bunny, seeing that Kotetsu has them made him hotter to me. Maybe because I didn't look at him and think, 'Ken doll, lol', I thought, "So he's got correct anatomy, huh?" /pervy

Anime men should have nipples! And, while we're on the topic, some form of musculature definition aka: ABS.

Why is it that 90% of men in shoujo anime don't have any definition whatsoever? It's just plain depressing. And when they do, it's like in Hajime no Ippo, and ridiculously large.

Anyway, in my opinion men should have their nipples drawn when they're shirtless. It's just part of their anatomy and feels silly to leave them out. However, when you still see them while they're wearing a SHIRT... something does feel wrong haha. ...Unless they're wearing white and someone just threw them into a fountain :D.

I don't especially care how folks draw their shirtless men, but I know I always forget to draw the nipples myself because the vast majority of the shirtless men I've seen in my lifetime happened to be stylized drawings. ^_^;
