Just before anyone says that "There is already a thread like this" I'll just add that I did try making a search and didn't find quite was I was looking for ^^; And if it's in the wrong place I'm sorry >.<;
So, this evening I was starting to think that "hey, maybe I should pick up that VN project I started with in school?"
and felt that yes, it's in fact quite a nice idea. But, according to my g-docs, I havn't really touched it from March 21 and onwards.
SO! The question is this; How do you resume writing something that you've lied down for well... quite the time and didn't really think during that time that you'll finish it? (odd sounding question I know ^^;; )
Resuming writing on an unfinished project?

Re: Resuming writing on an unfinished project?
Mh, If I pick up an old idea, I first look at what I have and then reshape it into a better one.
My advice:
first look at the stuff you did back then. If it's only the script: re-read it now with a fresh look on things and ask yourself if it's good or if it needs to be revised and where (make notes). Lay out what you want to change and keep or even add, and make a structure/outline of the story in a way you want it now. From there on just delete what you don't need and work on?
Revising old unfinished stuff isn't bad, it just improves it. If you want to work on it, go ahead :3.
note: if your writing has changed a lot, edit the stuff you wrote back then to adjust it to your new style.
