Hello, everybody!

That's my 1st post, naturally will look like a real Newbie! ><
(I tried to read all the topics before this)

a important thing!
I'm Brazilian, and maybe my englich cannot be high level... ><²
But I'll do my best! ^^

So, to the real thing!

I'm a writer, not a program guy.
I hav a fantasy novel with some considerate popularity in my circle.
Ren'Py comes like a glove to me!
My GF is a great manga/anime artist, so we're a team.

I think I hav to make a English work to publish here, right?
I think that's not a problem to me

But I think I'll need some help with the codes.

May I count with you, guys?

Hello and nice to see you finally post in the forum!

If it will be easier for you, you can make the Portugese? version first, then translate to English.

(It became convention for me to refer to non-Japanese visual novels as OEL VNs, or perhaps this should include other languages? I'm pretty sure Chinese-language and Korean VNs have their own communities, so maybe this forum is for western / international-english, or just western / international?)

Good luck on embarking on your project, if you will convert one of your stories to VN, then it might be good idea to plan the direction / screenplay on paper. You can then make a project documentation which you can send to the programmer(s) you recruit.

Well, you can discuss whatever you want here, just so long as your posts to the forum are in English. (Since otherwise, we won't understand them.) But there are people making non-English VNs here, and they're welcome.

http://www.renai.us/ only lists English VNs, but if you need help hosting a work in another language, let me know and we'll work something out.

Of course, within reason.

DaFool >>> I think the precise term OEL VN should be limited to Original English Language VNs, just because... well, because that's what it expands to.

Any game-maker is welcome on this forum, regardless of the language their game is in. I would suggest that this forum is focused on English-reading makers, as opposed to those making English-language games. (If Japanese, Chinese, or Korean makers wanted to participate, that's more then fine with me.)

Its a little long, and not a real VN Game (just linear)

But maybe I start with a simple project to show u and take some feedback!

Hi MalkMad and welcome!

Don't worry about the English thing, I'll be more than happy to help if you happen to need someone to proofread your VN :)

For discussing about your story and characters, I'd suggest you start a thread in the Works in Progress and Recruitment forum.

Hear, hear. I'll do the same for you, too, because 2 are better than 1 ^_^.

Oh, don't worry about your game being linear ... IMHO, they're so much easier to play. (laugh) I've gotten so used to the genre being used to tell one story that when I usually don't replay the game anymore unless prompted ...

Really thanks, Bardsmanship and BCS!

I'll make a short VN just to test my English and how I'm connect with the engine.

I'm translatin' the Demo Game and the Moonlite Walk to portuguese, just for test, not for release.

Anyone here use to chat by any IM?
