Background offer

I've been in Japan for about two months now on a study abroad program, and it just occoured to me that some people might be interested in photographs of the area as stocks for their games.

So I'm taking offers. If anyone has been thinking they'd like to have some photos of Japanese backgrounds, please mention it and I'll see what I can do.

I'm living about half an hour from all the hip places in Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc...

I can't assure any photos but I will see what I can do to provide them. I can offer street backgrounds, classrooms, hallways, campus, bus stops, parks, streets, and so on and so forth. Even store and restaurant interiors maybe, if I can get the guts to take pictures of the interior in a blatent fashion. XD You'll have full rights to use the photos in whatever projects you want. They'll be considered royalty, purchase free stock.

Good classroom pictures are hard to come by. I don't need it but I did in the past and I'm sure I'm not alone ^.^

Could I ask for photos of the big gate in harajuku?
I'd also like some corridors in the japanese subway and photos of shinjuku if that's possible :D
And parks if you can, with all the temple stuff.
:D

Which big gate are you talking about? I'll definitely be going to harajuku in the future, so I'll look out for it. Is it ok if people are in the background? It can sometimes be difficult to get a shot without -someone- walking by in the distance.

Ah sorry, actually I was talking about the big gate in Asakusa, the Kaminari mon (Thunder gate). It's okay even if there are people.

Here's what I've managed to grab so far. I know I took pictures of train platforms and the subway, but I can't find them. These are all pretty much around my school and things. I'll try to take more quintissetialy Japanese pictures before I leave.

All of these are free to use for anyone making a game. No credit is required. If you want a bigger version that photobucket didn't screw up just ask.

Edit: Found the other images, so now there's some train platforms, bus, and a restaurant interior.

Really great stuff ^^. I'll have to get that later.
It's amusing how... not so different from our countries it looks ^^

Thank you for the photos, they are wonderful!

Well that is if you don't meet people there :D
I found things however that might be great differences though:
- cars that circulate at right (well in uk and thailand they circulate the same way though)
- a shadow that reveals our photographer
- typical architecture
- automatic machines
- kanji everywhere

I'm having trouble doing that, cause it's too small. All I can get is a sort of glimpse into it, but I'll keep trying.

And d'oh about the shadow. Thought I had avoided that for the most part.

I've been to Japan twice, as well as some other exotic locations. I'll go through my pictures and post them. Hopefully, they'll be able to help someone.

These are great!
For straight usage, filtered usage, or reference for drawn backgrounds.

Don't suppose you can grab more nature shots can you?
Or anyone for that matter.

Nature background shots or plain old shots of nature? I'll see what I can do.

Finally got a Christmas vacation so if I have the time I'll go out and take more of these.

Oooo~ Just what I needed for my game! I'm totally going to take advantage of this. XD

Do you think you would be able to go to Akihabara and take photos of:

• Inside various stores (cosplay, maid cafe's [!], anime/doujin/manga stores, etc)
• On the crowded streets
• Of street performers (cosplay, etc)
• Hardcore Anime fans (without saying 'Otaku' ^^;)

I guess anything that would make an interesting photo there for a game (so I can have various different scenerios)

And not in Akihabara (anywhere in Japan is fine):

• A park (with bench? ^^;)
• Four different apartments/homes (Is that possible? Or maybe just hotel rooms?)
• An anime convention (very unlikely to ge right? [unless your going to one?] I guess I'll have to get those photos at the con I'm going to in August)
• Karaoke
• Restraunt (McDonalds is perfect. :3)
• Corner store
• A school (inside classrooms, hallways, outside the school)
• Suburbs (on the street, infront of a neat little home, inside [man, that ones impossible, ne?]
• Onsen (again, very hard)
• On a train (inside, on the platform, looking out the window)

You don't need to get them all, and don't make any special trips, just if your in the area that would be very nice. Thank you very, very much~

^o^
