Demo/ Promotion movie at Osaka event.

#1 Post by Chu-3 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 5:52 am

Hi.
My Japanese friend, piroshiki told me that he wants to introduce foreign doujin games in an event in Osaka at March 20th http://doujin24.com/wp/2012/02/12/osaka2/ (Japanese site)

He asked me if I know any developers who want to join, by sending him the demo/ promotion video in either of mp4、mpg、or avi(DIVX) formats. Again, this is just for promotion, not for selling the game itself.

Please tell me asap if any of you are interested on this.
We need the movie file until March 19 for latest. (March 18 in US time)

Also, please tell me the circle's name, circle's site, game's title, and 1 sentence to introduce your game, like http://blog.surpara.com/moarea88/archiv ... 90296.html (you can write this in English, of course)

Thank you.

*The video can be in English.

Hello.

We might enter with Cradle Song. I just have a few questions.

First, for the video, is 720p with h264 mp4 codec okay? And how long should it be?

Second, can I have some more information about the presentation? What format is it? Is it like a panel? What will the attendance be like?

Any extra information is nice too. :)

Thanks.

As what I can read from the website, seems this will be an event for doujin games (different with comicet which is mainly about comic)
The event is for trying the game (demo), exhibition/promotion, and selling the games. (Which I guess our games will be promoted on exhibition/promotion section)

I already messaged him about your question :D Please wait for the answer.

I might be interested, but only if my net connection issues sort themselves out in time, since at the moment I can't send videos anywhere. :) But both Date Warp and Magical Diary have promotional videos.

1. Is this the very same Piroshiki who made the current Eileen sprites?

2. Should the game be more or less have plans to have an official Japanese translation in the foreseeable future?*

*corollary question: what if game were uncensored/non-pixellated eroge which are technically illegal in Japan, but which will be hosted on western servers?

@Dafool
1.I don't even know that eileen maker called piroshiki :shock:
I just know that he is piroshiki that likes to go to Thailand. SWT
2. I don't think so. He just told me if I know any other foreign game developer that have demo movie to promote.
*edit: eroge and bl is also okay. he will also show katawa shoujo PV

@Dani
Seems the format is okay.

Btw if you want to ask something more particular, please PM me and I'll tell you his skype id (he asked me to tell you this)

Seems it's not a panel. It's like a small comicet with 25 booths in total.

Hello,
I am the coordinator for foreign game video booth in the event.
Thank you very much for being interested in our project.

Though our event is small, it will be hold at Nipponbashi(second biggest compueter/otaku town in Japan)
in front of Melon Books(one of the biggest dojin manga/game stores in Japan).
So it should be a good chance to show your work in Japan.

Please ask me if you have question.
We hope a lot of entries from this forum!

Hello piro_shiki,

Sorry I mistook you for Piroshiki!

I love Nipponbashi! Been there a few years ago before the yen skyrocketed.

Would the booth presentation be a running loop of individual trailers, then? Or will you somehow splice all the videos together? (then would help if we use similar setting, e.g. 720p with h264 mp4)

I was thinking of a 30-second quick preview each for two titles with a link to circle website, can't really do extensive playthroughs since they're, er, nukige (and probably upload to youtube later).

Hello DaFool,

We are planning to present looping set of trailers with 3 or 4 laptops.
You don't have to care the video format too much, if only its playable on normal windows PC.
If any problem, I will re-encode it to fit the laptop format.

We welcome your works ;)

@sake-bento
Hello,
It's nice to take contact with you :D
I've just asked my friend Masasirou san(zero zigen) to introduce sakevisual's staff to ask for the video.

@mugenjohncel
Dead line is 19th(in Japan time) so it will be 18th in US time.
Sorry for the close dead line, if you already have the video, you don't have to prepare special video for this event.

Let me tell some addtional notices.

1.We need your circle name, website, game title, screenshot and short introduction as soon as possible, to introduce your works in the event organizer's blog. > http://blog.surpara.com/moarea88/archiv ... 90296.html
You can write them in English, I will translate and send to the organizer.
