Depends on how much characters talk about other characters. If you're careful, you can make it work.Do you know how difficult it is to keep characters androgynous? In a Romantic (this includes english) language, this is very, very difficult to do. At best, you'll just come up with choppy sentences.

I tried to write a comic book where the 2 protagonists were ambiguously gendered. It was hard! I ended up just having people refer to them as male but leaving it ambiguous what their actual genders were. It was fun, I'd still like to do that again.

Gender ambiguity would work well on a 1st person narrator.

I think it would be neat to have a serious character who cross-dresses back and forth. No one knows the character's true gender, people react differently to them depending on outward gender.

You're talking about F. Compo, aren't you? XDasterazul wrote:I think it would be neat to have a serious character who cross-dresses back and forth. No one knows the character's true gender, people react differently to them depending on outward gender.

We're underway in the character design phase, now. I'll post some graphics once the art starts flowing in. :-3
The plot involves some cat girls on a camping trip, and a bit of good-old-fashioned meddling. Can't wait to see what the writer and artist come up with!

As long as it's nothing hardcore (I'm a shoujo ai kind of person rather than yuri), I'd like a GL game. :3
