This is a friendly notice letting you know Ludum Dare is coming around again!

The rules/guidelines are here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/rules/ and it's all about making a game in about 42 hours or 72 if you're doing the more relaxed Jam variety. And here's some inspirational reading.
If anyone is interested in just making something rapidly or working on their much-neglected developer skills, this would be a great opportunity to get involved with a community and gamedev-related event. There's no prizes and it's all just about the experience and the chance for personal improvements.
