I have a suggestion for the later presentation of all submissions:

Since you are bundling them together as one big game package so that all games share the resources, I assume it's something like a top-level "game menu", which contains the code from the games submitted.

If so, then you can easily use a randomization in the top-level game to present the submissions in random order. I think this would be most fair for the evaluation, as I think there would be a potentially critical bias for the audience depending on which game is presented first.

I am planning on at least trying to make such a feature, yes. :) (Wasn't promising it, since I haven't done it yet and don't know how much of a PITA it will be.)

Oh boy, this shows how good at Ren'Py I am. I managed to screw up the first step and had to work out how to fix it for 5 minutes. Ah well, that is why I am teaching myself!

This is going to be a lot more difficult than I thought originally, given what we have at our disposal... but that also means it is going to be a LOT more fun!

Quick question: I am assuming we can reposition the sprites in any way we wish, yes?

Are we allowed to adjust UI or no? It was brought up in the other thread, but I want to make sure here.

As long as it doesn't involve editing the image files, go for it. Positioning, flipping, cropping, scaling, matrix recoloring, causing to spin and pulse, etc - all good.

To the extent that you can do so within your single rpy file and without affecting any of the other submissions.

In general that probably means no, but if you can pull off some fancy coding tricks to mess with your speakers and nobody else's? Cool.

When does it official start and officially end? So that we all know when to begin works and not miss the deadline.

I'm assuming it starts now, though I have no idea when it ends. I've already begun work on mine, and I've contacted papillon with questions about specifics of the pack, and she didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Well, you have plenty of time to change your mind... And you don't have to announce publicly if you do :)

Yeah, it does. I had trouble seeing it at first because I glanced over for dates though. XD Maybe posting the date of starting and the date of ending at the top of the post would clear that up completely?
