personally, I LIKE installers (but then I am a Windows user).
I recently released "Ross and his Cool Trip to School" (windows only) with an installer made with Inno Setup (http://www.jrsoftware.org),
Ive been an INNO user since 1998 - packaging up lots of visual basic programs with success !
