screams to self quietly

I told myself at first that I would resist the temptation to go for this considering I have never tried or used Ren'py at all (For my large, probably-going-to-take-months-to-get-it-ready project, I planned to learn once I had a lot more stuff taken care of- and since I'm planning to try and get a handful of people to help with programming, it wouldn't ALL be on me)

And then
temptation won

I guess you can count me in on this, even though I have no experience with actually MAKING a game (everything else- art, story, etc- that I can do, ahaha)

Guess I'm gonna see just how crazy I am at the end of March!!!

I keep looking at the clock and thinking it's almost over and the time's flown by so fast, yet somehow the individual days have been... sluggish? It's weird.

I have to admit, a few of the projects I was looking forward to haven't been updated lately which makes me really sad :C I'll just crawl back to Editra and start working again.

Hopefully they've just not updated because what they've done isn't really "showable" right now. I'm really looking forward to seeing what other people have been working on myself (though I haven't really looked at any other projects for fear of procrastinating even worse).

The next week or so, my best friend should be mostly offline, which will help me focus on my task better. Hoping to get a lot of writing done over the next several days.

I also spent the last hour or so researching something that I've decided will just add too much complexity to the game (plus be somewhat off-theme to boot), but at least I can save it for another game, seeing as I made notes about how it'd work. u_u; (This is not the only wild goose I have chased on this project. I think that instead of taking up Nano on more or less a whim that was paired with astounding timing, I will need to get together a solid plan and just do all the script writing and in-game art and coding during the time period, rather than figuring out game mechanics and such as I go.)

I told myself I wouldn't do this because I've only been playing with individual aspects on and off without actually finishing a game, and I won't have internet for the last week and a bit, I'm not sure how playable it will be, but I guess I'm in. Don't expect much, at all.

This is it guys. We're in the single digit days.

Who's still in? I admit that I faltered a bit in the middle of the month but I'm gonna finish no matter what :V

Hey, Moya. I'm still in... actually, I started at the start of the month, then kind of stopped. Then I started again a few days ago, because honestly. How cool would it be to make a game, even if it would have to be really short and simple? :)

So I've finished most of what I wanted to do with the game story and coding-wise, and am just going to add a couple more Bonus tidbits (accessible after a playthrough of the game) and maybe do a little bit of doctoring for the story. But I don't want to go overboard with worrying about the story, I mainly want to get it so that it doesn't suck (at least to me) and then get it out for others to play.

I'm actually having a lot of fun with putting this all together. The game's only about 5 minutes long at this point in time, but it's been a great experience for me. Very fun and I learned a lot about how to use Ren'py.

Okay, that's my check-in. How's NaNoRenO going for everyone else?

I've slowed down a lot, but I'm still chipping away at it. Chances of finishing in time are very low, next year I'm going to find a writer to work with.

Im not gonna be done, tbh I knew from the beginning that I wouldnt get finished though. too ambitious of a project for one person.
But I did want to at least get a demo out.

I hope I can still reach my goal but i got lazy then sick and messed up, so its not likely ;m;

I'm doing rather well for my first time! It's still debatable whether or not i'll finish everything on time but I have almost everything completed and found a partner that's willing to stick with me past this project!

So, despite the outcome, great experience, a lot of lessons learned and over all happy to see this project come to life ^^

Totally failed, I only worked on it for the first week and then stopped completely.
Picking up the bag of chips I threw out from the start. (Blah, stale)

Going to keep working on it in the future, but I won't be able to finish it for NanoRen0.

Congratulation for anyone who finished, it's tough to keep focus in so little time. 8)
Much Appreciated for those who took the Survey!

I'm 90% sure I'll be finished writing this weekend, and work on more coding.

^I probably should've focused on one or the other, but am sort of doing them both at the same time.

I'm chipping away at mine. There are definitely a lot of pieces between the writing, the art, the UI and coding, and eventually sound and music... It's not going to be finished, but it'll be pretty far along, and I'm aiming to at least complete a demo. I hope to finish it next month.

We're working hard in ours! :'D
I'm way behind my initial CG-making schedule, coding is going smoothly, script is being edited and extra choices/paths added, and chibis/GUI/non-stock BGs are being worked on sporadically. It's very likely we won't be able to do *all* the things we wanted (that were lots), but we're getting there! ^o^

We're so busy it's hard to update @_@ I mainly use Tumblr because it's so easy/fast.

We're not doing too bad, although we'll have to work hard still.
Done:GUI, music, titlescreen, sprites, story (as in the script without code), some cool effects with coding and basic coding.
Working on: Backgrounds, cut-ins, scripting, CGs if I finish early through a miracle

I really love nanoreno though, we learned so much again! Absolute love for this month.
