Faces and palms at the ready - it's time for The Worst VN/KN Ever 2 -The Worsening!

For those of you who managed to escape it last year, you have a limited time to make a terrible game.
I don't mean "so bad its good". I'm expecting an abysmal piece of garbage.
If someone enjoyed playing your game, then you failed.

The purpose is to help people see a game through from concept to completion, without their own quest for perfection getting in the way.

We did this last year, and I received a lot of really positive feedback. People who hadn't been able to complete their first game felt a weight was lifted off their shoulders when they realised they can complete a project. Some experienced devs even said it gave them a boost to their creativity, which had been starting to wane a little.

When your VN/KN is completed, send me a link and the name, and I'll edit this post to list all completed games. I'm going to be strict about the completion date though. If your game isn't completed in time, just release it half-finished. It's not going to make it any worse.

And the big question... When is the completion date? The end of May. May 26th. Anything completed after this date will not be added to the list. I'm being strict this year.

What, did we receive clearance to do this after all? I thought it was a no-go as an LSF-based activity after the first one.

I really hope it's approved, this sounds like awesome fun. Count me in!

For two weeks, I'll allow it.

"By the end of May" sounds good to me. I am looking forward to the results of this event and to creating my first VN.

Can it be over *10 minutes* or more or does it have to be actually *10 minutes*?
Also, by *Maximum of 10 minutes* does that mean in playtime or in autotime because people read VN/KN in different paces.

Just want some clarification.

I'm not setting restrictions for length of play.
If people feel the time limit for creation should be shorter (like one week), I'm happy to shorten it.

My long-term, ambitious projects are taking so long (read: I've been working on them seriously for three-four weeks each and they're not done, haha. I'm impatient)- because that's what serious projects do, I guess.

But I really want to finish something like right NOW, so here we go.

So I have something, but I think I managed to distract myself from how it was supposed to be bad.
It makes too much sense AGHHH. It's so hard to fight the built-in search for perfection. (Like right now I'm debating making a custom textbox, but that would make it look less ugly so UH IDK).

I'm in. I spent ten minutes coming up with a plot and characters yesterday, so you know it's really well thought out. This will likely turn out to be my first completed VN (the shame).

Question- does everything in the game have to be ours? (am i allowed to use sprites from sites like bass novel?)

Just follow the rules for the resources. I have no idea about bass novel. But to be honest, you'd be able to get the full effect better from using MS Paint, using your foot to control the mouse.
