'Shall We Date?: Lost Island' is a dating sim where the characters are stuck on a zombie infested island. I've never played it so I don't know if anyone dies or if it is a real apocalypse but it kind of has that type of premise.

Can we have it as a "Tactical" Dating Sim ? ;_;

I don't see why not! What exactly constitutes a tactical dating sim? Would it be anything like the new fire emblem?

Dating one girl leads to a number of consequences to the party as they progress through one location to another. Saying this means each girl has some sort of class/specialty.

LOL that'd be hilarious. Might as well make one with shotas xD
that's been done and it's about as creepy as you can expect (they were all traps)
I wonder why I didn't think it'd be creepy when I posted that...

I'm currently playing that! I enjoy it so far. Though I'm still not sure whether the guys you don't choose will also turn into zombies or not. It's android / iPhone game, so I don't think the story would be really complicated though.

Is it alright for me to still post ideas? I hope so because I'm doing it, anyways!

IDEA ONE
The MC transfers to a new boarding school. On their first day of classes, they discover this isn't the school they signed up for. At this school, the students are taught how to pickpocket, vandalize, and do other illegal things. And what's even worse is that they're rewarded for doing these things. But the MC can't leave now. What will happen?
Bonus: New skills are taught with each grade level and the top class learn techniques to kill.

IDEA TWO
In the year 2032, the world's most popular game is an advanced RPG life simulator. You can create a character (be it an elf, vampire, human or a warlock, with many more options), fight a large variety of magical creatures to gain experience and become more powerful, explore the mass worlds or even build a home and max out your cooking skill!
Now, the producers have released a new feature. For a one-time fee, you can upload your mind into the game to become your character. However, the producers left out one detail: the spawn system has been removed from the game, making this game a reality to the players. How will you play?
Bonus: The people that upload their minds into the game become NPC's to people in the real world!
Bonus: Because of the feature to basically start your life over, many criminals have fled inside the game and you have to deal with them!

IDEA THREE
There is a myth of a magical crystal that if you touch, you will be trapped within it. One day while the MC is studying, they stumble upon a hidden staircase in the library. Unable to beat their curiosity, they follow down it. At the end of a long cave, they discover the mythical crystal. Of course, the MC doesn't believe in the myth and puts their hand on the crystal. However, instead of being encased, they break it, releasing the people of the past who had been frozen in time.
Bonus: The MC trying to teach them how to use technology. (how to drive a car, surf the web, watch TV, etc.)

Casually leaves these here . . .

Some sort of dead end tragedy story from the point of view of a yandere who doesn't realize she's a yandere...

Interacting with people who don't know the modern world can be fascinating. What can they teach you? What can you do that will help them deal with all the societal changes?

For what it's worth, the premise of "you meet outsiders from another time / world" is the opposite of how the El Hazard OAV series started.

This could work really well as either a stat-raiser or an rpg, haha. Or a mix of both?

Branching off of this idea, I guess there could be an assassin academy of sorts? And in their final year, they have a free-for-all battle of sorts for their lives between all the seniors? And the people who survive through the year get to, uh, live. And maybe they can also get money. And those with the most kills get something extra? Don't really know. Kinda battle royale-esque, except not everyone has to die [and obvs not everyone has to kill--some can, say, just strategize and help their allies in the sidelines or something]. Obviously the students are going to need some sort of incentive, although killing would be an incentive in itself for some of them. IDK though.

This came up when I was cooking with my mom.

SHALLOT AND GARLIC

The title's deriven from Indonesian folktale which tells about two girls called Shallot and Garlic (Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih in Indonesian, literally it means red onion and white onion--as in garlic, ofc), but the one I'm thinking is far from the folktale. In Indonesian cuisine, shallot and garlic are ones of important ingredients you must use when you cook food. So basically you can make something out of those when you add vegetables and salt, and oil when you're cooking. Then I was thinking to make a VN about cooking competition between two girls! Of course it'd be weird if I name them just like the ones in the folktale because obviously they're not usual names, so maybe I'll just take the first letter--some names that start from M and P I guess, or maybe S and G?

Okay, basically the genres will be friendship, cooking, slice of life, and a little bit romance. You'd be able to choose whether you want to play as "Shallot" or "Garlic", but both of the main stories will focus on their rivalry (so if you play as "Shallot", you'll meet "Garlic"--goes for the opposite as well). Something like, whenever there's a cooking contest, both of the girls will compete with each other, and the results are always the same--they get in 1st and 2nd place in random. As time passes by, they already turn as 3rd graders in high school. Both of them will pursue their own choice of university and faculty which are located in different cities. So the VN will tell about their last cooking contest between them.

I imagine it to be a stat-raising game as well, but I'm not sure if I can work on the codes for that yet. Talk about the ending, I guess there'll be ones you lose and win, but then there'll be also the endings that you end up with one of the guys and even being friends with your rival.

My idea is not a story, but a formula. The formula can be plugged into science fiction, fantasy and historical. It addresses a problem of most space opera and high fantasy stories where epic battles are fought: They tend to focus on the military lifestyle and they don't reveal much about an average Joe in the fantastic world: What's a typical day like and how an average person reacts to these events. The situation of "false peace" in Gundam SEED (first episode) and Mass Effect 3 (Citadel not being attacked) inspired me.

The story takes place in a speculative setting (SF or fantasy), with the cast being average (as defined by the speculative setting) people having family and friends: It's a slice of life. The actual story (it can be alien invasion, a border skirmish, or a disaster in distance) takes place far away; the characters hear the situation on the news. They comment on them, or show how much they care or don't care. They think they're safe because they happen far away, but as time passes, the conflict escalates. They talk about and develop opinions about the event ("Federation is useless!"). They begin to worry about their long-distance relatives. The climax happens when the threat physically arrive to the main characters: They must survive the madness. Their objective can be evacuation, rescue, or simply survival, but remember they are normal people, not soldiers, chosen ones nor heroes. They might dodge bullets, and they might even dodge the law. A little expert knowledge helps. They can run but they can't fight. They don't have the power to change the outcome of the battle. The story ends when the conflict ends and they face the aftermath.

The aesop of the story might be "You should care about current events".

As a visual novel, dating and friendship can be thrown into phase one (slice-of-life). Sometimes the player need to answer philosophical and political questions. and in the phase 2 (climax), the outcome will partly depend on the player's choices. Moral dilemmas might be thrown in.

I've always wanted to read something like ^ tbh (and I've definitely read a few-- just saying I want to read more. a lot more). That aesop made me laugh, though. I was thinking the moral would be more like "you're not the center of the universe, and that's ok", "shit happens; react in the best way you can, and try to find happiness", or something of the like, though, lmao.
