Strange, for me everything shows correctly. What browser do you use?

Btw: What ads? I can't see them. Oh wait, I have installed Adblock

Edit: I suspect the encoding your browser autodetected is wrong, so you can try to change it manually to see if it helps.

Thanks for mentioning that :D - I didn't have that extension installed yet.

Edit: Can't seem to make it work at all for this page...

Ah... Yes. The advertisements... I was expecting them, since it was mentioned that I would have to pay to get rid of them ( and I have no money :? )
If anyone knows a blog service that doesn't have these let me know so I can change weblogs while there's still little content.
Anyways, I'll soon be posting the Starlit sky review, done by Ignosco (again). I'll contribute with something as soon as I have time.

Assuming you use Firefox, you should rather install Adblock Plus than original Adblock as it seems it doesn't support Firefox 2.0 (I am personally using Seamonkey).

Thanks again Denzil, that was exactly the problem I was having - it works perfectly now. :)

Lucy's Revenge Synopsis and Review posted. :D

I was wondering when some reviews were going to pop up :D
Nice little blog site. The title "Lemmasoft Visual Novels Reviews" makes me feel a bit bad, though - it makes it sound like all these games are from me & collaborators instead of giving credit to the people who made the spiffy games ^_^ I'd suggest perhaps "English Visual Novel Reviews", or "English Doujin Visual Novel Reviews", or "Lemmasoft Forum Visual Novel Reviews", or something of the like.

I have included "Forum" in the title. I apologize for any inconvenience my name might have caused... :?

I like this idea a lot! And the format looks pretty darn spiffy as is, especially on the short synopsis reviews.

You might want to hide the bulk of the full reviews (the ones with spoilers) behind a "more" type link. Would make it easier to read the posts looking for a particular game, and less likely that you'll accidentally read something you didn't intend to while scrolling. :)

As far as the service goes, have you looked at blogger? It seems to be pretty popular (and I seem to recall it being easy to use). Or you could cadge some space off one of the nice hosting people around here, in which case I'd suggest textpattern (IIRC, it requires a database, but if you needed flatfile, I have a couple of homebrews I could send over).

If you do go with a service that allows categories, definitely consider your organizational scheme/categories in advance! Nothing more annoying than having to redo seven billion entries because of category rearranging.

Added a "Tales of Lemma" review to stop Ignosco taking all the credit... :P
Absinthe- Blogger? Never heard of it (you could say i'm not very familiar with this whole thing in general... :| ) could you send me the website or something? Oh, yes! And if anyone wants to search for a specific review it's a good idea to go to the archives! (see URL below)

Here you go:

https://www.blogger.com/start

It's very easy to sign up for (they've gone Google since I last checked), and I'm pretty sure that there's a collaboration-type set-up, too, although I've never used that feature!

The nice thing is that many, many people use it, so it's pretty stable. It also has all the 'blog' type features -- categories, link rolls, things like that -- easily available. And I've never seen any ads, although I use Firefox so I might just have missed them.

I'm just about to post a synopsis and review for Secretary of Death - it wasn't the easiest review to write, but hopefully it's at least somewhat coherent.

Edit: :x , it looks fine in the preview screen, but all the apostrophes come out garbled in the actual post. (I wrote the review in MS word and then pasted it into the blog)

Edit 2:  - there's one mistake I need to fix up regarding the double vision code - it was first in GR not SoD.

It might help to copy it, paste it into notepad or another plain text editor, save it as txt, close it, reopen it, and then copy it from notepad into the blog software. :) MSWord does funky things to apostrophes sometimes, I've noticed, but I don't know why (I use OpenOffice now, myself).

Simply because Word uses *other* apostrophes than the usual one. And it does that for maaaany characters. Bad Word, baaad!

 I never realised that before - I'll fix both entries up soon. And thanks for the link Absinthe :), the blog will probably be shifting over there fairly soon.

Looking forward to the new blog - and thanks for the reviews!

Hmmm, maybe I should also write something... :)
