Any Alternatives To Paypal?
I would like something besides paypal. It is just getting too complicated to use and I really want to look into more ways to pay artists. I would like something that :
1) Does not need a credit card.
2) Does not have a $1000 limit for people who do not want to link it to a credit card.
Also, something crowdfunding friendly would be nice , too.

Can't you just make a bank transfer? Ask for their name, sort code and bank account number, and send the money to them by bank transfer.

Or you could get a money order or write a personal check. Old school!
A Close Shave:
*Last Thing Done (Aug 17): Finished coding emotions and camera for 4/10 main labels.
*Currently Doing: Coding of emotions and camera for the labels--On 5/10
*First Next thing to do: Code in all CG and special animation stuff
*Next Next thing to do: Set up film animation
*Other Thing to Do: Do SFX and Score (maybe think about eye blinks?) Check out My Clock Cookbook Recipe: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 51&t=21978

Bria, I've been struggling with the same thing.
To be honest, PayPal is still the best way to go. There are plenty of hassles with PP but it's better than the available alternatives like checks, money orders, etcetera. If you're making a single giant payment, a money order would be fine. But if you're doing payments month-by-month I would do PP.

Re: Any Alternatives To Paypal?
I suppose you could set up a standing order, if you wanted to make regular monthly payments...

There's Dwolla - as far as I know, you just need a bank account for it. Also, in order to verify your account you need a valid U.S. phone and they send you a code. I haven't had much experience with Dwolla because asks me for it but it's an alternative I accept. Then there's WePay which also requires a bank account and they have crowdfunding options.
Alternatively, you can pay them in bitcoins.

Wait... I need a bit of momentum before I say this (breathe in)

I highly encourage people especially those who are into commissions to use Western Union for all your money sending needs... It is Fast, Easy, No frills and Reliable. no need for that pesky Paperworks and other verification BS and stuff
Remember people... if Paypal is being anal... don't let yourself be locked into using it. There is always an alternative. Paypal sucks anyway.
Disclaimer: I am not being paid to do this... I'm just another one of those extremely dissatisfied ex-Paypal user.

If both you and the person you're paying are in Europe, there are cheap and surprisingly easy ways to move money around between banks. But there's that 'if'.
