Re: Renai maker
Well -- in English-speaking countries, we usually use Ren'py (http://www.renpy.org/wiki/renpy/Home_Page). It's a Python-based scripting engine.
However, Japanese doujin circles often use NScripter (http://nscripter.insani.org/).
I would recommend using Ren'py -- or at least start using Ren'py. NScripter is much more flexible, but Ren'py is much, much easier to use.
Good luck.

Re: Renai maker
Huh? I thought it was the other way round. I started using Ren'py cause NScripter can't do everything i want. It took me like a week to learn pretty much everything about NScripter but more than 2 months (still learning) for Ren'py.I would recommend using Ren'py -- or at least start using Ren'py. Re: Renai maker
But Ren'Py is still easier to get up and running with.
Nscripter seemed to be more like Blade Engine in the obscure technical-ness in its approach. But that's just on the surface. When it comes time to really get technical -- Dynamic Displayables, overlays, custom user interfaces and animations, that's where Ren'Py shines.

Yeah i couldn't agree more. it really makes me wonder if it really just for making VNs. I think it's even possible to make something like Virtual Cop.When it comes time to really get technical -- Dynamic Displayables, overlays, custom user interfaces and animations, that's where Ren'Py shines.

Re: Renai maker
Well, I love the power of RenPy. That's definitely a big one, but currently I'm using ONScripter so that I can create something that will work for PSP.
