Best website for hosting downloads?
As I come closer to a demo release, I'm trying to figure out the best place to host downloads.
I originally considered Mediafire, but I know it has popups and ads, which no one likes, so it is probably best to avoid that one.
Currently I do most of my downloads through Google Drive, but do you guys have any suggestions for better websites, or even a way to host within my own site (if I decide to get one)?

What's in a loop? A loop iterated in any other way would output as sweet.

Yup, you can host files on your own hosted site just as you can have HTML, image files, and so on, on your site. That's what I do (and especially for Ren'py, having a hosted site means you can do updates more easily; Google Drive, iirc, adds some barrier to disallow direct downloads).

I recommend Dropbox!

I reccomend Game Jolt
It's an indie game hosting website, you also get a neat counter of how many people actually downloaded your game, you can put up various game distributions, soundtrack and ofcourse you expose your game to their userbase.
Here's how the completed game page looks like (sorry for the shameless self promotion):

Thanks for all the responses. Im still not very sure which one to go with but at least I have a better idea of my options.

Re: Best website for hosting downloads?
I suggest spreading out your methods rather than going with a single choice. Having mirrors for your downloads gives people more options, and also gives people a way to still get your games if a particular site ever goes down.
I haven't used it myself, but there's also IndieDB where you can put up a blog, do a bit of promotion, and put up links to your demos/games. GameJolt, itch.io and IndieDB would be a great three-pronged approach for getting your game out there.
Gonna add a smidgen more information to the hosting on your own website option. Using a FTP Server makes uploading large files to sites especially easy. FileZilla is rather decent. I recommend it! Also, I don't know if the Vnovel Website Hosting Initiative still has room, but if it does, you could get a website hosted under them, or even get your file hosted on their site (see this).
