Non-english players in these forums?

#1 Post by synedraacus » Tue Jun 09, 2015 11:16 am

We have recently started an interactive fiction-ish project in Russian. Nothing beyond a little hobby project for me and my friend, but some feedback from LSF will still be immensely useful. So, the question is: is there any point in posting Russian (and non-English in general) games here?

There are non-English games here now. I am not a moderator, but I say go for it! :)

Poorly done hand-drawn art is still poorly done art. Be a Poser (or better yet, use DAZ Studio 3D) - dare to be different.

I could release a game in Spanish, so I don't know why not Russian (Of course, if you want it to have more success, English is a must).
Artist and voice actor, trying to actually write stuff.

You'll still have to write everything (game / characters descriptions etc) out in English (forum rules) so unless that doesn't present any diffuculty and / or you intend to translate your project later personally I wouldn't bother. On the other hand if your game looks good that might make people wish they knew Russian which is always a good thing.

It's more work, but if you're willing to do the translation/hire someone, it's definitely a bonus! It can't be a setback since it's just an option, anyway, and your VN will appeal to more people.
