What are you planning on doing instead?Nio wrote:I'm actually trying to get out of the web development side of things.
Can't say I have a sure idea myself though ^^ (currently I study multimedia design)
Well best of luck with your portfolio... I have to get one up too soon ._.;; (I have done one before but I need to make a better one, now that I've learned more)

I've actually been doing decent with freelance artwork. I also run 2 online web businesses (which I keep separate from this for obvious reasons). I also HOPE to actually sell my games down the road. So who knows.
I started working on some new art for my folio. Though it will take me some time to finish them.

I dunno. Soon people will be ironically quoting that, indicating how limited gaming culture was back in the 90's-millenium era.Jerails wrote:(It'd be really funny to see this on the shelves of game stores.)
Be prepared to see change in the next 5 years. Definitely going to be.

I actually don't see our games appearing on the shelves of stores any time soon.
This is less a comment on market predicitons for our games, and more a prediction that game store shelves will become less significant when compared to direct downloads and/or mail order, especially from long tail mail order places like Amazon.
