I don't MIND GxG or BxB, just...more often than not it's not my personal cup of tea

Well then I will be the first :P
Shounen-ai (especially yaoi) really annoys me. It seems so pointless. That's not to say that I could never like a story that features shonen-ai - as long as it's not done for the boy-on-boy love alone, then it could be interesting. But most of those stories are nothing but pointless fanservice.... <_<;; And what I hate even more, are fangirls who think I hate gays or have homophobia because of this.
And the slashing! Don't get me started on that

I hope I'm not offending any shounen-ai/yaoi fans out there or sounding too hostile, it's nothing personal against you, and I won't hold it against you. One of my very best friends is a huge yaoi fangirl. It just really bugs me sometimes when some people keep shoving it in my face....

Yeah I know there are pointless hetero stories as well, such as the many sappy comedy romance movies out there, and I avoid them as well.

Shoujo-ai.... the same I guess.

I agree completely ^^;

My friends like Shounen-ai, and I actually have a friend thats gay, so I don't really go against it much cause I know it will bother them.
But you're right, its nothing but a couple of good-looking long-haired guys being dramatic and showing off their "perfect, beautiful" bodies. >.> Same goes for Shoujo-ai, cept with girls.

That bugs me too. You say you don't like it and they're like, "YOU HOMOPHOBE GO DIEE D:<". Its not like you hate homosexuals, you're just not into that stuff and/or do not find it sexually arosing.

I don't really find it hot when guys OR girls are making out or whatever o__o I'd much rather see a cute hetero anime couple doing that...

I think gender is irrelevant.

I kind of agree with Mikan about gender not being relevant for two reasons:
1. If you fall in love with somebody, it doens't matter if it's a he or a she, since you love their "essence", not their body.
2. If you just want to plainly experiment sexual pleasure with a partner, as long as you can give and take pleasure, it doesn't really matter if it's a he or a she...

Me, I like Boobs.

Standard BxB = Nope (as expected)
BxG = Ok, especially if G has Boobs.
GxB = Ok also, if G has Boobs.
GxG = Ok if both G's have Boobs. But if both are flat-chested, probably not.

Hmmm...

Trap B x Trap B (with both B's having Boobs) = I'm willing to give it a try, but afaik I don't think there's a game like that yet. In general BxB are made for girls, very few are for actual gays, and even fewer (to the point of non-existence) are for hetero guys.

Well, I'm gay, so if it's the only factor involved, then it should be pretty obvious which I'd prefer.

But that's not really to say that it'd ever be the case. I'm with Deji and mikan here, at least to an extent; a good love story should make me empathize with the characters no matter what. I prefer a female protagonist, just because I think it's that much easier to empathize with a woman-- even if she is straight-- than a man, generally. But I'd think a well written story could transcend that.

Unless we're talking about porn. In that case, boy-parts are icky. Always.

Settings can be a problem for pure-gay love (which is one reason I prefer a bi scenario!) Because the percentage of people who are likely to be gay is lower.

So if you're telling a straight-through story about one gay couple, no problem. If you have one or two gay characters in your cast, no problem. If the main character is gay but it's a molestation game, it doesn't matter if nobody else in the cast is gay to start with, so no problem. :)

But if you're doing a date-sim with a cast of characters to choose from, it's slightly weird if they're all up for it unless you've got a fairly unusual setting. Cue hordes of men-in-the-military or girls-in-boarding-school games.

Of course, in many date sims it's slightly weird that everyone's willing to fall for the protagonist anyway, so it's not THAT big a deal. :)

Still, I would prefer an Utena-style game, where most-but-not-all characters will go both ways to some degree. :)

My next project... whenever I'm out of this huge pile of work and can start it, is gonna have a GxB/GxG setting <3
Because in love gender doesn't matter!
...and I just want to have a cast of winnable boys AND girls anyway XD;; *satisfies her bi self*

A good quote from Deji.
Good luck then!
Altough I'm planning to make lots of GXB games since there's so little of them...

I go for either as long as there's a plot. Love really knows no gender... XP If it's pointless I wont' even bother...Though I'll be honest and say that I do lean more towards BxB. It's the only thing that I can really write...well.

There's got to be a good plot or I'll move on to something else rather quickly...

Only two options?

I am bi so I like nearly anything as long as it doesn't have rape stuff/scenarios in it.
Well, even some stuff I do like...Princess Maker and True Love for example...both have implied rape scenes (grr) ...only thing I don't like about those two games
And, being female, naturally I prefer getting to play as a female character or being allowed to choose gender (along with hair eyes skin and whatever else you can throw in but all the rest is just bonus...main thing is letting a person choose gender in a game or get to play as a female for a change)
