Don't forget Discord, that's a beast for team communication! Although it is made for gamers, I still use it to stay in touch with my development team.

Another good task/project management tool is https://app.hacknplan.com/

It's still in development, so it gets updated with new features every now and then. Either way, really nice website, easy to use, great if sleek visuals help you stay organized.

One of the teams I'm on is using Conjure to share and exchange feedback on visual designs (character designs, environment/background images, etc).

For task management, I'm also on a team that uses Teamwork, which is comparable to tools like Asana, Trello, etc. Basecamp is also a popular tool for this.

On the subject of Google apps, I use Google Hangouts for all my video conferencing needs which is especially useful for meetings where you want to be able to screen share. I haven't explored any alternatives, mostly because Google Hangouts gets the job done and it's a browser-based solution that doesn't require people to sign up for any additional accounts (you just use your Google account); the mobile version also comes pre-installed on Android phones.

And I'm probably stating the obvious here, but Google Docs and Google Sheets seem to be two of the most popular tools for creating collaborative documents and spreadsheets. I like using Google Docs for sharing files even when the document only has a single author, because it's easy for people to leave feedback on the document and see (or respond to) feedback left by others as well.

I'm afraid I can't contribute much with Team communication, since I can just shout across the room to talk with my team most of the time, but I can add that HOOTsuite is a particularly good web-based app for managing social media and Crowdfire is particularly useful for working with Twitter followings.

https://hootsuite.com/

Hootsuite has a pretty great interface for keeping track of many different channels of information between your social media accounts. The free account is limited to 3 different social media accounts, but the paid version gives you more. 3 works for us, right now. We display our Hootsuite feed on our Team Display(It's a TV on our wall) to keep track of relevant VN industry news, as well as comments from followers and peers.

https://www.crowdfireapp.com/

Crowdfire has been incredibly useful in managing Twitter followers. It keeps track of follows and unfollows, and helps us better understand our growth and identify potential areas of growth. It also provides an auto-response system for new follows which we've found pretty useful to driving traffic to our updates web page.

Darim should update everything we've stated so we can get this great list a sticky!

To add a bit more to the list:

Team Speak: While it may be for more game related content, it provides the best quality available. Thanks to the live bit rate selection. It's great for voice overs, and just a bit of chat. Maybe some banter.

If you can't tell, I was a gamer before.

Ever Note: Which is comparable to simple note. A little more complex.
Together: A very organized storage for docs. Though it is 50 USD

Fixed it for ya. :P

I don't have anything new to add to the list, but I can definitely recommend Discord - it's easy to use and works very well despite being in beta. The voice chat works very well; I've used it several times and never had problems with it.

Anything Google is also nice for a simple chat; if more than one person is on a document at once, a chat box pops up. The only problem with it is that, to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't save what you've typed in chat after everyone closes out, so make sure that all of the important information is safely in the document itself.
