The screenshots up right now are the last official versions that I'll put into the contest since I'm leaving tomorow to go see Dir En Grey in Pheonix! Yay for JROCK!

We might do some more tweaking of the UI before release time but it'll most likely look pretty much like it does now unless people tell us that they would like it better if it were some other way.

That's right. These entries are pretty amazing, so judging will be a tough one!

Anyway, only a day/two left! Come on, people!

I was going to enter, but seeing how good everyone else's screenshots compared to my screenshots (for my first game :( progress:3% complete) made me lose my confidence, but's it's incredible to see what you can do with a little creativity on Renpy, some of those screenshots are just amazing.

Hey, you can still enter- it's not just about winning, ya know. We could give you some advice on how things appear to be shaping up with your project, and perhaps where you should take it while we're at it! So don't lose your confidence. You got nothing to lose, but potentially lots of ideas to gain!

:o Woah, your totally right, I would like to get some advice on my VN, and if any thing else people will at least know that it's out there. I'll post it up then! I can't wait to see the other screenshots that will be posted up there!

Heh, I'll look forward to seeing your screenshots.

Now people, there's only one day left! Or whatever, depending on your time zone. Don't forget to finalise your submissions soon!

Also, I just realised, I said "It's just about winning". I meant "It's not just about winning". Whoops.

Oh, i see! So even though i've already effectively won thanks to my donations and special favours to the judges the incredible awesomeness of my work, we kinda have to wait for the contest to be "officially" over before you give me my well-deserved prize. Well, i suppose we have to let the other contestants feel like they had a chance, eh?

Just a few hours left ! Come on everybody !!!

Those projects are incredible ! I'm strongly interested in using / playing them all ! :D :D :D

But I must say that after playing the alpha version of Science Girls and having enjoyed it tremendously (that game is exactly what I love... and what I just can't make  and it just hit me on the head ), I have to admit I'd support them !
Fortunately, I'm just another candidate and my vote doesn't count !

I'm looking forward to discovering the latest entries !!!!!

Phew I made it! My interface is pretty simple though, so I don't know if there's much of interest there.

It's fun to see all the impressive screenshots here :) I wonder who the winner will be.

JUDGING TIEM!

My votes go to Enerccio's submission, for overall aesthetic quality and the lack of lens flare abuse.

Pros: The window isn't incoherent with the other elements of the UI but doesn't look too elaborate to distract the user from the text. Drawn background of reasonable quality is a plus from me.

Cons: All the colors are a little saturated, so various elements on the screen fight for emphasis, and would get tiring to look at after awhile. (This isn't something that can be fixed with Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation.) There are some proportion errors, and the shading could be done better. The girl's (Who I assume is the heroine, with some dazed look in her eyes all the time) pose in the CG could either be more dynamic, or the angle could have been changed so that it looks more expressive.

Project Name: Songs of Araiah
Link: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... =16&t=2274 , http://bishojo.tk
Content: Everything in both images is original artwork by our artist, yvanc, who did it all: sprites, backgrounds, cgs, and all the ui elements
Engine: Ren'Py (across several versions, so we've lost track which...)
Comment: All the cgs and sprites are done, as is the story, so there's only a few hurdles left (backgrounds, music, a bit of scripting, etc.) until we finish. Look forward to playing it sometime soon!

Runner Up(s):
(Coming soon after class ends.)
Dysfunctional Systems
Juniper's Knot
Cradle Song, a visual novel in development
Memo, a visual novel

[02:49] <Komi> How is Dysfunctional Systems coming along?
[02:52] <Doomfest> have you seen prince of egypt
[02:53] <Doomfest> do you remember that scene with the storm of bugs
[02:54] <Komi> I know what you are talking about, but I can't remember the scene.
[02:54] <Doomfest> that is what it feels like
[02:55] <Komi> Personality conflicts on the team, I take it?
[02:56] <Doomfest> no
[02:56] <Doomfest> just bugs
[02:56] <Doomfest> storm of bugs
