It's been a long time since I stopped by Lemma Soft forums but I figured it would be the best place to ask.
I previously had hosted files and my webstory games on vnovel.com under its subdomain untramen.vnovel.com however it seems that vnovel.com no longer is running. The last time I had checked the servers was May 2016 in which it was working at the time in order to upload a fangame. However, now that the site seems to be broken, it has broken the links to my games. I've fortunately kept back ups of my files on an external HD, but now I'm at a loss for where I can host my webstory games which require a server to run. I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to vnovel.com or if they have any other alternatives to obtaining a server and free domain in which I can host my files.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me!

Re: Hosting via vnovel.com?
Do the vnovel games work without the server? If so, I think itch.io is able to host HTML games in a playable manner.

Webstory is in an xml format and uses a web server or local server to run. http://webstoryengine.org/docs/web-servers/
Of course, for public release I require a web server to have the game run. I'm unsure if itch.io can support an xml game, but perhaps it may just be easier if I ported my webstory games to html if I could figure that out. I don't anticipate many people playing my games or downloading the files I had hosted up on the site, but it's still a little disheartening having to find a work around.

Re: Hosting via vnovel.com?
I translate my visual novels from xml format to html5, zip them, and then upload to newgrounds. Here's the process I use. This was developed by kexter specifically for me; it might not work for you.
Some of my visual novels are at http://www.the-new-lagoon.com. They are NSFW

Hi Untramen,
I know that at least one guy has put WebStory Engine games on itch.io, so that should definitely be possible. For example:
https://nocneopowiesci.itch.io/brama-umyslu
An alternative might be to inline your XML into the index.html file. I don't know which version of the engine you are using, but in recent versions this is possible. Here's an example for v2017.1:
https://github.com/iiyo/WebStory-Engine ... index.html
This way you could put your game into a ZIP archive and ship that. No server required for this.
Hope this helps! If you can't find a way to host your games, PM me and we'll figure something out. It's a pity to see that your games are offline.
