I'm currently looking into making translations for my game and am interested in supplying a script to translators that includes annotations for references and other things that may be missed by translators. If I add an annotation with # to a character's say statement in the game script, the game's translation files will omit these comments however.
I've thought about adding the comments to the translation file directly, but I'm not sure how to handle this if there are multiple translations.
Could I use the same annotated translation file for other translations by changing the name of the language for each statement and putting it into the right folder (to match the translation language) afterwards, or is there anything else in the translation files that would cause trouble if I did this?
Annotated game script for translators?
