I'll keep it short...if I can...

1) Laws regarding Adult games

I'm making an adult renpy visual novel (dating sim, basically) which will include some taboos, and the biggest/most shocking one of them will be incest. I don't know if this somehow compromises things legally (in my country), and the only two things that I can think of right now is trying to read more about my country's laws regarding this (I live in Latvia), or just getting a lawyer (although that would be hard to explain to my parents since I'm 18 and still live with them and I do intend to not let them know I'm going to be making these types of games,at least not mention the incest part). Maybe I have some other options you guys can think of?

2) Torrenting

Obviously, torrenting is frowned-upon, and the only excuse I can make is that I do not have the allowance to be constantly buying materials/props for my designing engine which is Daz Studio (Daz3D). What my safest route right now would probably be torrenting the files to test them out, and if I like them, then buy the ones I used for my scenes from the official source. I have a question, though - this might sound really sketchy and I do understand that it's a huge risk (especially if I am somehow forced to respond in court), but how exactly can this stuff even be spotted? I mean, if someone played my game, I doubt the first thing that they are thinking is "I wonder if the creator torrented these props... I should really try to find that out!". I think it's mostly a problem if people bat an eye to more concerning things like the incest part or me using Daz3D figures (I'll get to that shortly), basically, it's just used as an additional argument against me if I get in front of the law for some things that I wasn't prepared for.

3) Using 3D Characthers (Daz3D models)

Now, there was one person recently that told me that in U.S, the government is really keeping a close lookout for this, and the reason being is that you can make characters look like, let's say, 12, and put a label on them that they are 18 in an adult game. This, of course, is illegal, cause it crossed the pedophilia border. I'm by no means saying that I want to make games which pedophilia, but I will make characthers who probably might look to some as 16-17 (For example, the sister in my game is a prety short, busty 18 year old, so that's why I'm asking this). Maybe there was no real point of this question since, again, I should check this with a lawyer or find the laws for this kind of thing in my country, but what do you guys think about this?

I'm asking all of this just to be safe, you know? I don't want to get into any trouble and fuck up my life just because I'm making an adult game with some...questionable taboos.

2: torrenting is legal provided you own distribution rights AND copyrights to the content, which obviously as the creator, you do. I would suggest looking for a legal tracker though and not "ThePirateBay"

3: As long as its not obviously paedophilia and you add a disclaimer, you'll generally be okay. There are companies in America that have translated Japanese VNs with 'lolicon' content (you could pretty much call it paedophilia) and sold it.
Those companies still exist and operate many years later, continuing to translate lolicon content.

If you are torrenting to see what's available on a trial basis, and then buying the content you actually use in your visual novel, no copyright owner is going to come after you for piracy. I'd recommend deleting the stuff you don't use.
Downloading stuff illegally shouldn't be necessary, given the huge amount of free DAZ models, morphs, and mats available stuff available (you can use https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page for as a good staring point). Other excellent sources for free daz/poser stuff are sharecg and the free stuff at renderosity.

Though technically illegal, as stated above, nobody is gonna come after you if you purchase a license to what you actually end up using.
