I have something for you:
A few years ago, I started a rather lengthy visual novel project called Foxtaile. It is a story set in feudal Japan, though this Japan is a mixture of history and mythology. The time is late Sengoku Jidai - the civil war that ravaged Japan for almost a century - and the main character is a fox. Or rather, a kitsune - a magical fox spirit.
The script is entirely complete. The game has eight endings, loads of choices, and even though I wrote it many years ago, I still consider it good stuff. There's basic character art for most major characters, some special event artwork done, a few pieces of music for the soundtrack and even a voiced - professionally voiced! - introduction sequence. There's a few pieces of BG artwork but hardly a full set of BG CGI, so the game requires quite some work.
Here's the catch: I want to see this one released, but I'm too tired to do it on my own. I had a programmer who seems to have left me. The character artwork I have is nothing short of brilliant, which shouldn't surprise you as Rio ("Garden Society Kykuit") made it, but it's not complete. The BG art just doesn't compare to the rest, so if I put everything together now, it would look sorta hotchpotch.
If anybody's interested in making this game, I'm willing to contribute everything I already have for it. I cannot speak for Rio, obviously, but I can speak for everything else. A long text script, a fully-written plot, and all that's needed is someone with the time and devotion to hack it all into Ren'Py and fill in the blanks in the art.
Who's up to the challenge?
