Google Pay as Paypal alternatives for commissions?

After deleting my chrome history and cookies, I found that gmail draft now has $ icons to send and receive money through Google Pay. A quick search showed me that supposedly, Google Pay won't ask for processing fees from you as peer-to-peer payment service, so I wonder if it's going to be a good alternatives for Paypal for receiving commissions.
Is there anyone here who have made or sent payments using Google Pay? How did it go for you?
