How much of backer merch funding should I add to kickstarter funding?

How much of backer merch funding should I add to kickstarter funding?

I'm trying to figure out how much backer merch I should add.

Like I'm not sure if I cut the backer price in half and add that price to the funding or something else.

I would aim to be more frugal, to be honest. I wouldn't spend more than 10-15 percent of the amount you're trying to raise on merch/backer rewards.
