Visual Novel Image Packs
I've wanted to make a visual novel for sometime now. I don't have the time and energy to take that on yet but I do want to create and share images that someone else may find of use for their work.
This first pack includes CG sky shots both in HD and SD. Also included on most shots is an alternate version. Although you could use this exaggerated image as is, it may be of more use on top of the original image with a different blend mode or with transparency to create a slightly unique version that better matches the style of your work.
You are free to use the images for non-commercial and commercial work but please include an attribute to 'Padded Studio, paddedstudio.com' (The website should be up within the next month and will hopefully offer an alternative of searching and downloading images without having to grab large packs - don't worry, I am not going to start charging for images) And if you share the pack please include the text file within so others know to attribute as well.
As long as life doesn't interfere too much I hope to release at least one pack a week of type background or character. Feel free to critique, make requests, or ask questions. I guess I work for you guys and gals now.

Sorry about that. Its been an hectic day. There are about 9 unique images like the three attached below and then at least as many variations. In future updates I will be sure to include sample images.

There are some really nice images in the previews - I'm downloading the image pack for possible future use, because the angles are just too perfect for use in a vn! Great work~

Wow, excellent! I can't wait for your website to be up, I'd like to check it out. Great work on these and thanks for submitting them.

Hey, I have a question.
Would you allow derivatives of your work, with attribution? Say we want to modify the colours or add something else to the image?

Re: Visual Novel Image Packs (updated weekly)
Thanks dstarsboy. I will most likely take a break to build the website after another pack or two.
When I am done modeling I will post a screen cap of the scene and the angles I intend to render. That way you can let me know if you need any different angles before I start rendering.MaiMai wrote:Oooh classrom BGs, I need something like that. No problem. With attribution use can use it anyway you like.Lekhaka wrote:Hey, I have a question.

Re: Visual Novel Image Packs (updated weekly)
I am running late with the classroom backgrounds and I apologize. Hopefully, once it is released, the others will come together in the more timely manner of once a week. I will put in all the hours necessary to have the images (classroom, hallway, stairway, and bathroom) up by this coming Wednesday. To do this I will need to cut the contact sheet of angles I intended to submit here for review prior to rendering. All typical VN angles will be included, in various lighting conditions. If anyone needs an untypical viewpoint, lets say for an action shot, please post a simple sketch of that view before Monday.
I uploaded a preview image which shows some of the modeling I have completed so far. It in no way represents the final look, which will be stripped of much of its 3d-ness. Just posted it to show that something is indeed coming.

What program are you using for these models?
Re: Visual Novel Image Packs (updated weekly)
Nice work. I can't wait to see the finished product.
