Help - Where can I find Non-Anime Visual Novels / Games?
I'd like to try making a visual novel but although I love Anime artists' work it isn't my personal style.
Are there any creators out there making non Anime works using Ren'Py?

Thanks for responding Jack.
I downloaded one of the demos & have started playing. Looks really cool, I particularly like the sound effects in the station scene & the word game.

Re: Help - Where can I find Non-Anime Visual Novels / Games?
I am working on a non-anime visual novel, and I know of another user who is as well. It seems for the most part that they are looked upon favorably from a creative standpoint, regardless if many users here actually enjoy the style themselves, so you should not have a problem.
If you made the effort to attempt to read this, you have far too much time on your hands. Good job, slacker.

Non-anime styles are done all the time, but they don't seem to get as much attention as the anime styles. I'm also currently working on a non-anime project that's taking forever :/
Projects:
Alone- (Horror/Sci-Fi) Complete! Link
Demokratiya- (Adventure/Action) I'm kind of winging it with this one. Goal is 100,000 words. Yeah, it's gonna take a while.
{Last worked on Sept/28 : Word count (coding and all) ~4500}

Thank you all for your responses, and your friendly welcome to the forum! I am trying out some Ren'Py short experiments and I'll take a look at what others are making in all genres to see what is possible.

I think about half of all the released games here have been non-anime. You can check them out at http://renai.us/
