I have used those for making paths. You can also do it in a lot of other programs. Basically all of these are useful for making flowcharts and such like that.
Graphic Tools

All free tools decent for making graphics.
Any others you want me to add. I'll make a list with free paid and the like and what their useful for too but for now I'll leave the list unfinished since I have to go soon.

You may wish to note/add to the Community Wiki, which already has a list of graphics tools alongside many other things.pkt wrote: Any others you want me to add. I'll make a list with free paid and the like and what their useful for too

I've been using this for character relationships, family trees and some paths.

Re: Tools that make game dev easier
I added XMind, Freemind and Alchemy to the community wiki, and added a new section for version-control or collaboration software, including SVN (and the Tortoise client Topagae linked to above, which will need a server to function) and the others I could think of off the top of my head:
http://wiki.renai.us/wiki/Collaboration ... l_Software
I didn't add MyPaint or Labyrinth, because they were already there. If people find useful software, it's really a good idea to add them to the community wiki; like that there's always one place people can go to find the list of all the tools we know about, rather than having to try and find a possibly-months-old thread which might have mentioned that tool they heard about a little while ago but forgot. There's nothing wrong with threads like these, but since the wiki already has a large number of links to useful stuff on, it would be good if we could keep it up to date - it's no harder than a forum post to edit.
