They're not easier to do, but I think it's considerably easier to come up with a romance plot.
I'm not saying it's any easier to come up with a good romance plot, but without romance you actually
need to come up with a problem situation and a twist. Romance, on the other hand, can function as a
plot in and of itself.
Sure, you can come up with all sorts of unique settings, but if all that happens is one character goes
after another, the plot is default romance.
What do you think about VN with no Renai at all
