Go DarkSpartan!

My later sprites are looking nicer than my starting ones:
Image

Micah: Youth Pastor (Latest sprite -- and yes, he is that little)
Jason: Love interst (First Sprite)
Tara: Main Character (She should be redone)

:D Hey, at least you got sprites. I'm still working on getting mines lined, I have yet to even start coloring them. Where you sprites hand lined, and colored in watercolor, by the way, because they have this watercolor like feel to me.

Yes, yes there will, along with a dozen or so creators collapsing in exhaustion. I already have the time leading up to and afterward off from work. (My schedule worked out that way. Totally awesome!)

AGH only 9 more days.

Extra scenes to make the story more well rounded will have to wait until I get EVERYTHING else done.

Working on expressions right now, which is one of parts I hate the most... And then we will start coding. It seems the story is well liked so I'm hoping everyone else will enjoy it as well.

Good luck to everyone else to finishing on time!!

All the sprites and backgrounds were done using MyPaint(http://mypaint.intilinux.com/) and a Graphire 3 tablet. I am using it as an exercise to practice drawing with a tablet (I still prefer to use pencil and pen -- old dog/new tricks) My backgrounds significantly improved when I learned how to draw straight lines in MyPaint. :)

I am trying to keep the style "loose and organic" and not fret too much about the details. I have been using the watercolour brush a lot.

I just have to say I would, most likely, to submit my game after March.

Well, it's because that I don't like the way my school clearance is getting "unsigned" by some teachers at our school, so I just hafta ask them what's wrong and submit the proper requirements in this week.

I would most likely finish the whole thing by April.

A while ago, I did a Lint check on the coded story :

The game contains 46 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 617 words,
for an average of 13.4 words per screen.
The game contains 0 menus.

The entire thing is longer though. Like... 4962 words. Excluding code commands.
So I admire those people who can submit before March ends. >___<

Story done!
Sprites ... as done as they are going to be!
Backgrounds ... might sneak in a couple more.

Still to do: music and sound effects!

The good thing about NaNoRenO being done April 1 is that if your game doesn't turn out well, you can say it was an April Fools joke! Face-saving contingency plan complete! :D

I'm looking forward to all sorts of entertaining and creative stories!

The first story that came to mind when I read that was "The dog ate my script file." But a) I don't think that's the kind of story you mean, and b) one of the cats would be more likely to do it. Much too much effort for the dog.

Well, I still have 4000+ more words in a short story than I did to start, got a 10,000-word-ish kick in the pants for the other project, and the deadline for the paper extended by two days (by means of writing conference, hurrah!). That's something, right?
