I hope you like it then! We really are trying our best lol. This is our first game so we're all kind of nervous. Thank you though, I'm glad you and others are still intersted in this. I'll try my best to keep this thread and our blog more updated.

So today marks 1 year, since we started working on WWOH. I'm sorry I don't have anything special to show you. But at least I made a big posts about it on our blog Describing the past, the present, and hopeful future! So please read if you are interested.

Thank you to everyone that's still intersted in our game. Hopefully this time next year we'll have almost completed the game (or maybe completed it? hmm...hopeful thinking haha!)

so, today i worked on a new textbox. I've made two versions, both of which I'm not sure which work out better. So if you could please take a look and tell me which you prefer. Or if you even prefer it at all? Do you think it looks ok? too plain? any changes? (also i need to fix chris up and make him taller. i'll work on that but for the moment ignore chris >_> )

I really do like that torn effect, but you should make it less profound? Like, a little less ripped. Get what I mean?

Also, possible to add opacity? I don't know if you've tried it and decided it looked bad, but maybe give it a try.

I liked the torn effect as well, but maybe you could tear the top of the paper, rather then the bottom, so it won't interfere with the last line of text?

The top has a lot of open space above and after the name, so you could, for instance, tear that all off and just leave a chunk for the name sticking up. Then perhaps extend the bottom of the paper all the way down, like the MC sprite. Heh, I hope that all made sense.

(Btw, I think your game looks super cute! Especially the girls. )

I say only make the bottom part ripped and make it a little less severe.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, I fixed the textbox, please let me know what you think of it now. (I also adjusted Chris a bit, and the text when MC shows up so its a bit more closer to the red line.)

so now im working on the choice menu, and im wondering 1) what you think of it and 2) which one you like better?

(one has only torn bottom, the other has torn on both top AND bottom.)

Just a suggestion, but maybe you could do:
Choice 1 = Clean top, ripped bottom
Choice 2 = Ripped top and bottom
Choice 3 = Ripped top, clean bottom?

hmmm....cool idea, but im not sure if i can do that? seems complicated, plus i think might only work if i have 3 choices? but what if i have 2 or 4? Well for now, i think i'd like to stick with one choice box. I'm still new at renpy/coding.

Well, if you had 2:
Choice 1 = Top clean, bottom ripped
Choice 2 = Top ripped, bottom clean

And if 4:
Choice 1 = Clean top, ripped bottom
Choice 2, 3 = Ripped top and bottom
Choice 4 = Ripped top, clean bottom?

Though I have no idea how to code these sorts of things in renpy, so it's understandable if you don't do this, lol.

If just one image, then I think the ripped top/bottom, choice B.
