Many sprites were drawn and the next thing I should do is making SFX animations.. that's the most bothersome part for me.
I'm using Particle illusion, but it's not good on 3D view. Also the most time I'm spending on this tool is just search though all pre-made animations. I don't think it's an efficient way and hardly keep my motivation on this ._.
I'd like to get any informations/idea about how to create SFX animations. Tools, Tutorials, anything I appreciate. I just want to encounter something I can get motivate on.

Hmmm, wow I think your effects are already among the best I've seen ever (My effects are entirely handdrawn and suck for the most part). Actually I'm thinking of using Particle Illusion now, thanks to your suggestion... I suppose just stitch them into filmstrips.

Whenever I want to be inspired by effects, I play a Tales game and just look at the various spell and combat effects.

Sadly, I no more have any game machines other than Windows >_>
The idea of current filmstrip is came from Twinkle Crusaders; This game using 512 px filmstrips for the 1024 screen. I guess I play this game again

Even a story is just 20%, The whole progress of the game is already 90% (because it's a RPG, you know? :))
The next demo, v 0.9, is almost done except English translation. I don't know I should make an experimental translation or done Japanese version first. If It's just a translation of an help manual, then v0.9 demo is coming soon.
The help manual is made with the screen language implemented in the game menu. I just hate a HTML help which activate a browser, so I'm making in-game help.

Wow! Nice use of the ATL. Simple stuff, but it gives you that illusion of a "camera" even on a 2d plane. That stuff always feels like magic to me.

I'm curious, was the claw slash effect animated frame-by-frame?

Yes, It's 4 frames FilmStrip. I tried the With statement first (like many VNs using), but it couldn't be used with other statements.
