New titlepage is done! ^_^
There are two so that they can pulse back and forth between each other.
I have clean versions that don't have text, too, so hopefully with some ATL coding I can have the same sort of effect I had before, only much much more efficient and going behind the text.

Alright, the title page is working how I want it to thanks to Mole-Chan's post. ^_^ Yay.

Now, I'm working on some more sprites.
I'm working on Serra's happy sprite right now, and I'm trying to be less anal about details than I was with her serious sprite, which I may re-do.
Every time I think about/ do remake sprites, I feel like I'm wasting time, but every time I do, I learn something new.
For the most part I really like how her serious sprite turned out, but now that I'm drawing a new sprite, it looks like the head's a little big. And honestly I like sloppier lines more than clean ones.

I'm trying a more laid back style now, mainly because of how I drew the new title page, actually. The new title page- in my opinion- turned out really great and I drew it all in like... a day, just scribbling with the older picture as a bit of a reference, and not worrying about it. And I like doing art like that. Freely. Heh, and quickly! ^_^ I've got a lot of art to do!

So, please enjoy this work in progress of Serra's Happy Sprite. :)

See y'all on the next update.

I don't have an animated gif to show you for the new title page, but here's a screenshot.

And the mystery text shown through the transparent window is very mysterious indeed.
So mysterious...
Visit our new games list, blog aggregator, IRC, and wiki.
As you can see, I still have to work on the menus and such, but thanks to me getting my graphics driver updated, I no longer have a problem with image maps, so I can just use image maps however I want. Designing a GUI sounds like fun in a lot of respects.

I rewrote some very old scenes today, and edited a fair amount of writing.

As it is now, the word count for chapter 1 is about 18,700 words. I will be editing it much more, and I will also be writing more, but I thought you'd appreciate a word count update.

I've been using a great new program called yEd that helps me graph out choices.

Here's a work in progress of the branching stuff that's going to happen during chapter 1.
A fair chunk of chapter 1 takes place between the first and second box, though. That part of the VN is kinetic so I just skipped over it.

Trying to figure out how to get depthy.me to work so I can make the VN more immersive. There's a thread about it, here.

Hello everyone.
I just thought I'd let you know... that I'm closing the thread.
I am not dropping the project. I am going to continue, but I feel that it's somehow right to close this.

This thread was started three years ago which is a long time, but it feels even longer to me... I've gone through a lot of growth and changes in these three years.

Chapter 1 will be released in the demo and beta testing forum. It may be released in the fairly near future, or in the fairly far future. It will get released when it's ready, and that's all I can really say. But it will be released.

Thank you so much, everyone.
See you.
And God bless you.
(Oh dear, I'm being quite dramatic, aren't I? Bye, you guys.)
