Caelor promo picture

I'm working on one for Balon as well.
Website is still under construction, but should be up soon :')

Had some backtracking on progress... I finished all the sprites, and then realized I hated some of them (namely Estheros and one of Caelor's poses), so i'm redoing those.
And trying not to become a huge nitpicker. Which is really hard, because i'm torn between wanting to get the game done, and wanting all the art to be done to the best of my ability.

But alas... we shall see how things go, I suppose. OTL

The project is still going!

Just two things that I wanted to say:

Firstly, I updated the first post with clickable thumbnails for the promotional art i've done. I hit a recent uh... drawing spurt of sorts, so rather than spamming you guys with a ton of pictures, i've put them there for convenience!

Secondly, i've made a pact with myself to have a sort of... devblog esque tumblr. While i'll also be posting personal things like photos I like and other art, doodles for Stirling (random ones, as well as WIP images for CGS and such) will be posted there. So, if you wish, you can follow me here!

Though of course, I don't want to leave this post completely devoid of pictures, so here is a (rough) preview for another of the backgrounds from the first scene!


I just finished my exams for the semester, so I have free time for a bit (at least until I go back to canada again for the summer break). I hope to get a lot of work done OTL;;;

Also, I just really wanted to say thank you to anyone who has stuck by the project for this long (especially since I dont update very often, and things probably seem pretty dead...) :'D In a little over two months, we will be hitting the one year mark! I hate to say that things are still going slower than I would like them to (we have had some problems with the writing team, as well as myself being incredibly slow with art) but alas, we will get there eventually!

@Riku, ahaha you're actually the first person that i've had ask about this!
Unfortunately we don't have any plans for a Kestrel route at the moment. However, there are some tentative plans for an extended version, and some possible stirling short doujinshi that I have been talking about with our writer that would feature other routes and side stories/AU. It depends a lot on how the first version does, but it -might- be a thing sometime in the future. Sorry ^^;

I couldn't bear to look at the old sprites any more (so i've switched most of them to promo art for the time being) and THIS is the reason why:


These are drawn almost exactly one year apart.
You can't even tell that he's supposed to be tanned and fairly muscly in the old sprite >_>

I know that the old ones aren't that bad on a technical level, but... on a personal level I wouldn't be happy with myself if I ended up using them. So i'm doing a fairly large overhaul.
Some of them are okay (like i'd probably only redraw Balon's hair and belt thing) but others like Crane and Taika are just awful.
I mean CGs are one thing, because you only see them once before moving on... but to me sprites are very important because you see them all the time.

Anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying the warm weather! :D
