Re: Dizzy Hearts [GxG][M content]
Happy New Years!
I just wanted to thank everyone here who gave support. I've made a blog post about the new years, with some new sprite art in preparation for releasing a demo in the beginning of 2013. I hope it's interesting.

Re: Dizzy Hearts [GxG][M content]
It's January now and last week I gave a little news, but this month I wanted to have a major update, showing off some of the new stuff going into the game. At this point, all the current planned sprites are complete, and all that's left is creating all the background and CGs to the game. Write all the music, and to write the demo script.
That's the current level of progress in the game, and I can happily say I am still on course for an early 2013 demo launch.

I'm not really into these type of games or character designs, but I think your artwork itself is pretty good and you should create what you want.
The last sprite is cute by the way! I just wonder if there's a reason why her eyes are like that? They don't make her seem very relaxed but under some kind of constant state of shock or pressure or something because there's white all around the iris.

I think there is a misconception about what kind of game it is. It's be no means cut and bake But this is just an example expression, in this example, she's supposed to be a bit cute and genki.Anna wrote:I'm not really into these type of games or character designs, but I think your artwork itself is pretty good and you should create what you want.

I'm always stalking this thread, myself, because I really like your art
(although, like Anna, I'm not into this kind of game or this kind of character design either)

When drawing something, anything, USE REFERENCES!! Use your Google-fu!
Don't trust your memory, and don't blindly trust what others teach you either.
Research, observation, analysis, experimentation and practice are the key! (:

Yeah, I don't really agree with your character design choices, but those drawings are technically astounding.

Oh, that makes me feel better than! I can understand that with Aunyrae and Llend their proportions are exaggerated, not like the other characters. I was trying to portray a certain image with these characters. Every character has their own story and a depth that I think will make them really interesting, or atleast explain why they look the way I do. Seriva being from a different kind of culture, she's more normally dressed, a bit more normally proportioned. I figure it will make more sense when the game comes out.Samu-kun wrote:Yeah, I don't really agree with your character design choices, but those drawings are technically astounding.
But until then I'm willing to answer any questions~

Re: Dizzy Hearts [GxG][M content]
I have some pretty cool news, that I really couldn't wait to share. Starting Feb.1st I'm going to put out an email people can use to contact me for beta test slots. I'd like to get a good amount of testers from different places, here, reddit or my blog, etc. Gather criticisms, make some changes and do it again.
http://lupiesoft.blogspot.com/2013/01/f ... -beta.html
My goal is to put out a working demo early Feb, within the first week or two, hopefully. Then run the tests for a week(in which you have a week to test and give a review) then make changes to the beta, then bring in more testers. My goal is to have everyone from every test included in further tests, and so far I think only two will be necessary, but you never know with these things.
The beta will be missing a few things; some of the sprites for side characters, some of the music (approx. 8 demo tracks atm), an opening, a customized options menu, title music, and some other minor things. The goal for the game is around 125~150k words, this is to be realistic. This demo is 1/3rd of the first chapter. So the prologue, chapter 1, act 1.
This places the demo at nearly 16,000 words. I would like to get criticism on every facet of the game, I also hope that this demo will get a chance to show my proof of the concept, and get people interested in the game/characters/setting, know how they act, etc.
There is a planned adult scene in the first chapter, though I am skeptical if I should include it in the beta, if I did it would only be in the second test, and only if it seems prudent. I think this is the spot where people are the most critical of the game, but as I've said before, my approach to sex in this game is true to the characters, and the setting as I had wanted since the game's inception.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them before I start getting people's information of Feb. 1st.
