The Wayward Hospital [Survival] (CANCELLED!)

#1 Post by Morhighan » Sun Oct 14, 2012 3:26 am

This game is now officially cancelled/in development hell.

After a year Hiatus, the decision to revive this project has been made. Currently recruiting artist(s). I'm making this topic to track progress and see if I can snag an artist's interest.

I have the characters designed, but I would prefer to have another person be the artist. I don't think my art skills are up to par. :)

I love psychological horror! I look forward to seeing some screenshots. This sounds amazing in premise and I am sure it will live up to my expectations. If you need help with logo design, then let me know. Either way, I will keeping an eye on this!

Ok! It's been a while, and I thought the project was dead or lost since my computer died and I lost a lot of files.
Turns out I had a backup online. And the script was all there, all finished, much to my surprise! So it looks like I'll be working to get this done. In the meantime, I'm going to post a demo of the script to get people's impressions.

This game is now officially cancelled/in development hell.

The reason behind the cancellation of this project is thus:
I never managed to get much input on the game, and no artists responded to my recruitment threads. The game has sat at a standstill since the last time I posted in this thread back in 2013. I mean, I started the game in 2011, finished it in 2012, and it's done nothing but rotted the entire time.

I am proud that I managed to get a script done--it was my first branching script that I finished, which is a lot more than I can say for recent works.

So I suppose I'll keep the files online as a testament to my youth. Or something.

You check it out what progress I made on Gamejolt here.

My apologies if you expressed interest in this project, I feel pretty let down myself. Luckily, there wasn't much interest from what I could tell, so it's not too big of a loss.
