The suspense was a point, but I feel bad for confusing people, so the scene will be changed to make her talk more if more people complain.

Hijiri is just being negative. He likes to think of himself as the destroyer of dreams (and smasher of hope), but we all know better. I'm going to pass this along to Maelstrom, it doesn't contain any choices yet so I'm sure that this will be right up his alley.

Thanks! I won't change the suspense, I will make sure to improve other things! :D

Here's my review of the demo. Some of these things have been mentioned by others, but I'll just mention it again anyway.
- The really slow text speed. Feels like you're spelling these words out one by one for us.
- Some serious typos. 'You're' instead of 'Your' and vice versa.
- Grammar mistakes. Spend instead of spent.
- Erratic punctuation. Sometimes there are spaces before periods and exclamation points. Other times, there aren't any.
- Strange phrasing. 'Your mouth is watering like a waterfall' <-- You don't even want to know my mental image at that.

Overall, I think you need another writer or at least some heavy editing. I've played the HM games and understand that you're trying to recreate the same effect with the no talking thing (internal monologue doesn't really count) but there are differences between this and the HM games that makes it really awkward.

For one, you have a big herkin' sprite of the MC. Games with a silent protagonist usually have their MC relegated to a tiny side image, or with none at all. It feels really awkward when you have the MC standing there, larger than life... And the only thing she does is change her expression. It might be less awkward if every time there's a pause, there's a dialogue choice somewhere. But there isn't, so it's just... weird.

It seems to me that you're trying to recreate a cross between Rune Factory and Harvest Moon. Don't forget that RF, with their big MC sprite like yours, didn't have a silent protagonist. Whereas HM's MC sprite only appeared very, very rarely and was silent like yours. You need to decide which direction you want to go and think about how it feels like on the player's end.

Hijiri is right about the captain obvious thing though. If you want it to be a real 'tutorial scene', it'll also need more information than that. 'This is a bookcase. You'll find tutorials for how to play the game here.' is a lot better than just stating that I have a bookshelf. Yes I do, and what about it? The part with the kitchen could have been 'You can cook using ingredients you harvested from the farm and your dairy products.' while the part with the bed was completely unnecessary.
And that's about it. Good luck with your game! C:

Wow, I've got a lot to change (except that weird phrase. That character says that because I'm trying to make her do that thing some people do where they say things like "This is as crazy as a bear on a train that's on fire." )

I love HM and this sounds better than that.

Super excited! I'm about to check out the beta now.

Also, I got another map for the game (but I don't want to spoil too much)! I hope that this is good new art wise! :D

I have decided I will show this new character art since the character artist is working very fast. Here is this character Lisala, a 10 year old at the farm you can buy animals and crop seeds from.

:D

As a huge fan of Harvest Moon (and a frequent visitor to the website of fugo) I will definitely keep my eye on this game and will look forward to downloading the full version ^^
