Re: Solstice - a mystery from the makers of Cinders [pre-ord

Hey guys! We're almost done and I'm currently counting down the scenes left to implement on my twitter (21 right now).

Once it’s done, I still have some effect and feature coding left to do, and then we move to final playtesting and editing. If it goes well, I’d say early Summer release is pretty likely (would be awesome to launch on actual solstice!).

We also hired Cheratomo as our editor and she's doing an amazing job at making sure the game is polished language-wise on launch (we know Cinders was a little rough around the edges in that regard).

Hope to have exact release date soon :).

I cannot tell you how excited I am to see this game so close to being released! Cinders was the game that got me interested in making visual novels in the first place, so I'm downright giddy to know I'll get to play another MoaCube game soon.

Thanks! That's very nice. :)

And I can't tell how relieved I am that it's finally going to be over. I can already tell the postmortem blog post for this one is going to a lengthy read -- it's been a real project from hell. Gotta say I'm pretty proud of the end result, though, even if we're all extremely tired.

Big news time! Solstice is content complete! As in: done, and playable from start to finish!

We’ll be starting the final playtesting session soon, so check the full post on our website if you want to help.

So close, guys. So close! :)

It's been crazy three years, but the game is finally DONE, and we're entering final tests! Here's more info, in case you'd like to help us with playtesting.

Honestly, it still feels completely unreal to me. I have never spent this much time on a single project before. o_0

Aaaaand... it's done & tested (BIG thanks to everyone who helped)! :)

We just announced the release date for pre-order owners (the actual solstice!) as well as Collector's Edition stuff.

Including actual physical goodies for the limited edition, which I think came out great!

Winter solstice is tonight, which seems like the perfect moment to send the finished game to pre-order owners.

Excitement. Anxiety. Cool movie-style posters.

It's a shame this fantastic visual novel isn't getting more attention. A must buy imo.
