Lana - Playable Character



After being kicked out of her house on her 18th birthday, Lana decides to follow her dream and become a famous NYC rapper.


Marta



Lana and Anna’s mother. Marta's love for alcohol has played a large role in her cruelty to her daughters. On Lana's 18th birthday, Marta kicks her out on the street.


Auntie Case



Lana's Auntie. She was once a well known rapper in NYC but was accused of burning down her record companies building and now has faded into obscurity. She has promised to help Lana reach her goal, whatever it takes!


Anna



Lana's Younger sister.


Jamal Parker



Lana's childhood friend. Jamal convinces her to try her luck in becoming a rapper in NYC.


Chin Guk



Jamal's perverted friend.


Brian Louis



A pretty-boy rapper with a huge ego. Brian is set the be the next big thing on the rapping scene.


Officer Baker



The local police officer who keeps a constant eye on Chin.


Dogg



The leader of the Tribes gang.


Akira



An old friend of Lana's and Jamal's from their home town.


Jams



A member of the tribes gang and underling to Dogg.

Briannavon has had this idea floating around for a little while now so after some planning we've decided it's time to start actively working on it (we have been for a little while now). We've brought in the always fantastic Badriel for the art work and hopefully we will have a fantastic game for you all soon!

Congratulations on thinking outside the box with the story idea!

Haha, there's still a few things that are happening behind closed doors too, but I guess I like too keep busy!

Ill look at writing up a progression bar hopefully today, but so far the whole general story is mapped out and now we are just coloring it in.

I'm currently trying my gosh darnedest to get the vocals I have in mind. The composer however is all but set in stone (I'll be keeping that a secret for now though ;P). I'm looking at having 4 fully original songs, with vocals, and a number of original hiphop/rnb themed tracks throughout the game.

That's the plan anyway! If the game receives enough hype to warrant a larger soundtrack I'm all for it. I love this genre of music so the more the better in my books!

Can't wait to see how this turns out! :D

I've just finished negotiating and I got my first choice in... Well, in everything! It'll be a surprise who I've managed to lock down but they are pretty well known in quite a few circles. I'm really excited for it now!

The colour is used a lot to, more or less, set an atmosphere around the characters, though it's purely a coincidence that these ones, looking so similar colour-wise, have been put up first. The other sprites have a bit more diversity in them (the next one I'll be updating with will be Brian, a blonde haired, blue eyed pretty boy). :p
