The sprite has been reversed for use on the forum (I can't stand not having them looking right) but in-game the sprite faces the correct way. Chins quite a tough bloke from Korea so it seemed fitting

I assume there'd be a separate sprite for him facing to the right with the hankul on the correct side, otherwise that'd look really awkward. :v

I'm intrigued by the prospect, but out of curiosity - how heavy is the subject matter going to be? I mean, an alcoholic parent and gang violence aren't particularly light-hearted topics, and I can't help but feel that clashes with the art style just a touch. Still, you can definitely make that dissonance work for you if the writing's done with care.

I've been stalking this for a long time, and now actually make an account to comment.
Just love the blue theme you have, I like the art and coloring style too! And playing as an MC who has been kicked out of the house is kinda nice

Although the themes are indeed quite heavy, the game will portray them rather light-heartedly albeit with the respect each topic deserves. The game is intended to be playable for a large age group and due to this (as well as being consistent with the art as you mentioned) we aren't able to dwell into the real dark side of these issues, but rather how they affect Lana in her journey. Perhaps we could make a more mature version of the game where we can introduce these themes with the attention that we can't otherwise, or even create a vignette for each. As we are still heavily in the design phase though, it remains to be seen the exact way we end up tackling this issue.

At this stage, we fully intend to release this game as freeware and can't foresee making this game commercial, although we wish the end product to be commercial quality.

We've been discussing dozens of ways we want to go about this trying to make it as unique (though playable) as possible. We will hopefully have an introduction to the mini-game in the demo when it's released so you will be able to see the direction it will take in the full version.

I am very excited for this! Rap and fighting gangs!!! It's all I ever wanted, haha. The art looks really great, too, and the idea is very original. Good luck!

I never played a VN with a theme like this before so I'm really excited to try this out ^^ Plus I love the art not just the character sprites but the background as well! It's so detailed and it really suits the game ^_^ *I love Lana's Sprite..she's so pretty!*

While I've never been a fan of rap, I'm overwhelmed by the awesomeness in this idea.
Lana is sooo pretty and the guys all look great and the backgrounds look amazing.

okay, legitimate question though: are you guys going to have screenshots anytime? (pretty sure I didn't see any, and it'd be nice to see one.)
