CLICK! Capturing Love I Can Keep [Supernatural/RomComedy]

Players take on the role of a human college dropout, who was born and raised in a small town where Supernaturals were very rare. But today is the first page in a whole new chapter of his/her life: our protagonist has (impulsively) moved to the big city in hopes of chasing their dream of being a professional photographer.
Despite feeling overwhelmed by the change of environment and their anxiety when it comes to interacting with Supernaturals, the protagonist makes an honest effort to call this new place home.

Our Protagonist is a recent college drop-out who has decided to move to Monstropolis to pursue his/her dream of becoming a professional photographer. S/He is polite, curious, impulsive, and a bit naive. The Protagonist’s personality will evolve and change depending on what character route the player decides to take.
Miyu
A young Baku who has just started her own dream therapy practice in town. She’s a hard worker, kind, attentive, empathetic, direct, and decisive, though her demeanor suggests someone who is quiet and dainty. Her ability to understand people and how their minds work has allowed her the ability to reach those who would otherwise be impossible to counsel. She mostly deals with difficult cases—criminals, troubled kids, and the insane. When she feels she is underestimated, the Baku can be very harsh in her assertion that, no, she’s not some meek and delicate flower, and yes, she can kick your ass (she’ll even charge you for it on her bill with the line, “idiocy correction.”).
Korina
Korina is a peppy and energetic siren who often lacks tact and has little to no empathy whatsoever. This does not aid the fact that she is a terrible saleswoman who can’t pitch or sell a product to save her life. Coming from a family of winners, Korina desperately wants “to be a winner too” and she tries very hard to succeed, even unto the point when it is obvious she will fail. This is a painful and pathetic thing to watch for the protagonist because of how masochistic it feels.

Cian
A Dullahan who makes his living delivering packages around town. He’s a tall, goofy fellow who is a bit absent minded and has a habit of crashing a lot—this was why his motorbike got impounded. He has a creepy awkward habit of being compelled to herald when things near him will die. The community treats this impulse to herald death like a condition similar to Tourette’s Syndrome, and it’s considered rude to comment on it unless you or someone you know is meant for the death call. The protagonist doesn’t know this, though.
Damek
Damek is quick witted, sarcastic, creative, and extremely rebellious. He has had no small amount of run-ins with the police as he has led many environmentally driven protests that toed legal lines. He has a definite “fight the power” aura about him, and he literally chooses to camp out in the woods versus living directly in the city. Like most of his kind, he loves nature and protects the plants and animals feverishly. He’s head of an environmental group that organizes fundraisers, rallies, and green initiatives around the city. When he’s not fighting the man and protecting nature, he works part time at his older sister’s florist shop in town.

A screenshot from the intro to the game

- We started in late February 2013. Two team members have dropped out and been replaced since
- It's being built in Renpy -- two programmers, one character artist, one environment artist, one writer
- The tone for the game overall is black comedy/satirical, with the usual romantic elements tossed in
- The game is planned as "PG-13" in terms of sexual content -- no hentai/ecchi type scenes
- You can play a male or female character and choose your name
- Romantic routes will be based on a simple point system -- if you do x, points with a love interest go up or down. No "stat increasing". So there wil be a lot of choices!
- The photography element will go hand-in-hand with the protagonist's job. For example, let's say you have a choice to go photograph a local band for promotional photos or take some photos of the park for a website. Going to the band's concert will have you run into a completely different set of characters/events than if you went to the park. At the end of each assignment, you'll get a photograph added to the player's photo album. Some dates with love interests will also end with photographs.
- We aim to have our first for-the-public demo out by June 1st, but hope to have it completed by May 10th
- We'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign on June 1st. Our goal is $1500 but we have stretch goals up to $5000 planned
